Hey everybody. I am playing a lot of MTT: freerolls, low buy ins, and sometimes bigger tournaments on weekend. But I am not so often in the money. Is it normal or do I something wrong ? How often are you in the money ?
rarely in big tournaments, and in smaller tournaments more often meaning better playing smaller tournaments and here I refer to online when playing live is much better ie 3 of 4 tournaments are money
MTT's are hard to gauge based on the buy in. I am in the money around like 3 out of every 10 tourneys I play if they are micro's but the freerolls are a little more difficult because of the bingo style of play early on and the blinds.
10% is enough for a successful game. But it is important to not just get the money and go to the tournament as far as possible. Play should be at the same level of rates. Play at higher rates is necessary only for the money won. And of course for a successful game should be a lot of time to devote to training.
Normally 65% of the time I get ITEM the money, but the bad and we play hours to arrive at ITM and when we arrived and with a good stack, we lost a lot of plug with good hands taking "Bad Beat" and thus not managing to get the better odds and FT "final table" where oh yes is the best prize pot of the tournament.

well played in the 2000 euro on ladbrooks last night 10 euro freeze torny . came 1st for 450 euro but what a long torny and ended up paying 36 plaYERS SO THE 1ST PRIZE was set at 25%. I think us in euro got a lot off options and all games get well supported
On average, in mtts you should be itm 5-25% and if you go deep into the tournament and to the final table or even top 3 then you should be making some good profit.
Unfortunately I'm playing just freerolls at this time and trying to build a bankroll from zero. I'm playing for 3 weeks and I already won some cents. But if you are a beginner (and have bankroll for it) I recommend to you play only SNG at this moment, cause the paid players in percentage are bigger and you have more chances to get in the bubble and build a solid bankroll.
I normally get in Itm on every 4th tourney. Like yesterday I got 18th place after beating 11000 players in 888poker 3000 go for gold tourney. And in the same torney while playing day before yesterday my Three of a kind K was murdered by a Flush and I got out early from the tourney.
The most important thing about these tourneys are. They are quite long in nature say 4-5 hours. They involve huge frenziness due to free in nature and shows great varience. But they offer great Fun as well.
