Always will be a part of the game, even we make these plays from time to time. Its when our gambler side comes out.

Same shit here buddy... I was in a freeroll tournament for new depositors with big prizes. We were 80 people 15 in the money with minimum prize 10$ ..... I was so mad... I smoked every cigarette i found in my house

Was it the first depositor freeroll on 888? Those are so so bad for donkey play. I had one guy all-in every single hand, he was even saying what he had before he went in.. anyways I got a pair of 88s and wanted to challenge him. He goes all-in, I called. Unfortunately for me, another guy that limped in from UTG called both our all-in's with pocket Q's and took us out lol.

Patience benefactor))) Without such players poker dies, and to play with some regulars at a lot of money will not win, so be lucky opponents at the table, without them it will be very hard.

Just to add , it really depends on the player , how many hands do they play, where are they positioned to you? Do they limp some pots, do they 3 bet etc,
I love these players though, consider the alternative (a table full of nits) , it's easier to beat the raiser guys, your hand range comes into it as well, variate it until you find what works vs that specific opponent, as i mentioned above though it also depends on what the other players around you are doing about this opponent, are they playing tight, loose, setting traps, opening their ranges ? , it will all affect you too, seems i have a recurring trend, i use other opponents to do some of my work for me, to add to this comsider a strong opponent who defeats the "raiser guy " now and then, so at times all i need to do is beat my "strong opponent " since he took chips from "raiser " and i take chips from him, so means i take them from "raiser" but through a middleman ..... :p :) , too funny, of course i do it the opposite way around too , (getting raiser to win from strong guy, then taking raisers chips)

Patience

I agree patience is the only way.
Probability would then be on your side.
Should the guy be on a slot/lottery jackpot run, who can stop it in the short term.
The biggest threat would be a significant buy-in of the percentage of your bankroll.

When loosing with a solid hand, what is there to do?
The goal is to get your chips in with the best hand. If there was nobody willing to gamble with a low expected return, poker as well as the Casino would not be profitable.

One thing is for sure; at some point he will donate the chips because a terrible player will not win in the long run. Having the knowledge of this type of player, stalking him/her for a down turn may be a good idea. I'm sure the losses will move quickly.

The cost of patience is a few blinds and your stack remains in tact.
Now your a hero!

Honestly, you need to just play the odds and avoid trying to play the person. Unless you are really good at reading people you'll find yourself losing too often when if you stick to your hands you'll do well. If you don't overbet you'll find those people giving you larger pots on hands you clearly have won.

I've experienced that a lot but still have no idea or maybe I'm just not patient enough. Any suggestions how to deal with this kind of players?

Let them play the way they play. Wait till you get a hand and then try to knock them out. If you lose at least you were a favorite in the hand. Let it go and move on to the next tournament.

whenever they are in a hand and you have a pretty hand, just shove it. 50+BB? who cares, just shove.

The idea was of a "lucky dumb player". Shoving a >>pretty hand<< will only get you looking like a dumber player. Trust me.. fell into that s**t today. Got beaten by a set over a set & a low flush over a straight to A, both on river by an incredibly dumb and aggressive player (also lucky apparently).

Its very difficult to answer that question without there being some sort of attached hand history. We can only deal with lucky bad players by looking at hands and creating out plan accordingly...without any hands to qualify this question...we're all just shooting in the dark

Dumb like a fox

I have seen two kinds of players that bet many hands -- those that are just plain dumb and those that are stealing pots with controlled aggression. The latter is hard to play against, but the former can make you a lot of money.

The best tournament strategy I have employed is to take on the controlled aggression players with more aggression. They will usually back off when someone comes over them.

Against this profile of player I like to observe patterns and use them against him whenever possible, even in some moments he can eliminate me in the long run will always be positive, I look for patience even tilting a few times when that 2 outs appear on the river, but hardly in poker will we get short term, so hope to always find these players money donors to enrich our long term
