Sitting so long and leaving without a prize is too much of a blow. I am looking forward to when this feature will appear. You can click-absent.

Such situations happen from time to time, the main thing is to restrain your tilt. It’s best to just stop the game for a few hours. This is really stress. Recently, I was the first in the tournament, only 2 place before prizes remained, but the bubble was too long and I left the tournament without getting to the prize area. At the same time I played in 2 other tournaments and there I was given a cooler(street vs full house, thrips vs full house), I also lost my buy-in.

This is not the first time for me
This, of course, is bad, but not fatal.
The main thing is not to lose confidence further and continue to fight in other tournaments and the prizes will definitely be on your side

I'll share my story here even though i feel like thread is already answered.

So i basically played mtt sattelites back in a day pretty much full time and as an only way of income. to bubble 109. 215 and 1k tickets were pretty much daily routine. If you put enough time and effort it is next to impossible to never bubble any tournament (not speaking of mtts as we are going more for a win, rather than min cashes). Therefor, in my opinion. sattelites, with fixed payouts. are the most painful format of them all.

I start to build my bankroll for freerolls and centrolls then move to other games.
It happens quite often that I am going out just before the prize, so before the tournament begins I check what the prizes are and try to estimate the buble size.

But in the bubble the value of the prizes changes a lot between the first positions and the rest. Don´t you think it's better to take the risk to try to take a big prize than not to do it for a few dollars?

It is usually better to fight for all and it is better in the case if you think about the tournament as the only one. But if you teat a tournament as the step towards other goals it is sometimes better to take an awarded place and cash some money that to risk loosing the time and entry fee.

I have lost a few tournaments only 4 or 3 left to get into the money. I lost 2 tournaments at the last place before the money.

I remember the feeling and i swore i would never let myself feel this again. I learnt a few techniques and made my game play better. Now i hardly ever go out close to the money, i either make it into the money or i don't.

on the Bubble? What a question, hell yeah. Sometimes you just cannot hold your position anyway anymore or have to risk to gain a stack.

11 years ago I made the Bubble Boy after 8 hours of play for a live tournament sat. It would have been a $ 100,000 GTD MTT with not that many players. 5 star hotel by the sea.

After that I had tears in my eyes and had no desire to play poker for days.

I had a lot of tournaments where I came out last in the money. It's a nasty bad feeling.

I would like to hear / read your stories, if this situation has happened to you, and how you felt about it. It happened to me recently, there were fifty prize-winning places and I lost in 51st place. The worst? I had a pretty decent stack, but I played all in for a couple of aces and I lost against a flush. But if I had won I would have doubled my stack. And you? How was it?

It has happened a few times with me ... hehehehe And it is horrible to fall into the bubble ... And I usually take advantage of this situation to exploit the short staks causing pressure and there are usually a lot of chips in this phase ... but be careful when getting involved with villains with the bigger or similar stack ...

Live Bar league tourneys many times. 18-30players will only pay 4-maybe 7spots. I've been bubble boy many times. Happens because I'm typically one of the players that will even get in to a hand. Lady Luck will often be against me, or while sitting in a 5hand situation on bubble, just run in a better hand while having a great hand. AQsuited vs AK of any kind.

As far as online big tourneys. Long time ago in a pokerhost tourney I qualified by winning a satellite, I wasn't quite bubble but close enough to feel sickened towards the poker world. Would have been my highest online win by far.

A lot of times. But it's okay. That's the game. I try to avoid this situation, but if I am extremely short or holding a big hand, I just call.... and got kicked out, lol.

(sh)It happens sometimes.

Finishing on the bubble is heartbreaking every time.. But better just to go for the win, not just play to reach the minimum payout...

Unfortunately, it has happened to me a couple of times already. But the most painful was a 55 usd big tournament with KK at the forefront AA

Hi guys. it always happened to me. because when we are guaranteed in that last position, we are more relaxed knowing that we have already guaranteed some money, hence the urge to give allin, to increase our stack and increase the value of the prize.

I think all the regular players flew on the bubble! My most humiliating was covered with Paradise Poker!I had 1 BB left and I was with the ladies in the car Park and BB ran me over with 96! It was a satellite for tickets at 55 euros!

Busting on the bubble is worse than busting out first, too painful....

It's a shame to lose on a bubble ... this often happens with a very strong hand when you cannot throw it away
