Peter Jepsen is best known for winning the March 2007 European Poker Tour event in Poland. But the Dane is much more famous for a complex scam involving downloading spyware onto his opponents' laptops. Together with accomplices, he would access the PCs of high rollers and install software on them that allowed them to recognize cards remotely - he could see the screen with the poker client.

He could see EVERYTHING on the person's computer. He had previously PHYSICALLY accessed their laptops.
It wasn't some ability to access the poker client... he was able to see everything displayed on the person's screen. (similar to TeamViewer-type of thing)

This is far different from what the original poster is posting about. A program showing your opponent's hole cards is ridiculous.

Honestly I think this thread should be closed

:(

anybody, i have play at this app name winbox, on that app they have POKERWIN, inside that pokerwin they have texas holdem with 8 card playing, start from 7 to King and A.
but lately i saw many cheaters, they know what cards that they opponent have.. i hope i can get any cheat app to pay them back..

I have never heard of it because I never search out Apps like this (private poker clubs, etc.) they are rife with cheating, collusion, not getting paid out, etc. etc. I believe some of them were good when they first began but too many aren't. Not sure why anyone would even consider playing on something like this?

If you're in the states, why not play where others are playing? ie. A.C.R., BlackChip, SportsBetting (Betonline), Bovada, Global, wsop, etc.

Yes, it's very sad if such programs exist, it's a shame even for poker sites. I hope that such players will be blocked very quickly so that other honest players do not give up hope for poker games and think about the good news that there will be no such bad scammers in the poker community so that players cannot see other players' cards

Think about it. How could it be possible? (hint: It cannot)

I was just researching about the previous poker sites that scammed and prey'ed the poker players - UB, Absolute and just found out about lock poker. Those sites showed the players' cards and mishandled the players' funds. I was concerned about what is going on but so far I'm on Betonline and no problems, however, I haven't withdrew yet so I will see what will happen afterwards.

Wow how naive you all are.
Players colluding sharing screen on Skype !!!!
Poker side security team see all cards before they sending to players computer!!!!
poker site have his inside players from security team and they wining all the money for the poker side !!!!!
Now you understand why you can't win and you keep losing in a very suspicious way !!!!
Let each of you ask yourself:
If online poker is not a scam, why are none of the real casinos interested in opening their own online poker sites ????
There are many very rich casinos in the world, much more than these thieving poker websites !!!!!
So instead of asking yourself who and how cheats on the Internet poker sites, ask yourself only one thing:
Why doesn't any reputable casino in the world open its own online poker room, I ask again why????
If this question doesn't scratch your brain, no one will help you, play on these thieving sites and don't cry because you're losing !!!!!!

So try to withdraw before you lose and write if it worked ???

So I've been worried about online poker for the last few years because I can't understand something suspicious, it seems that someone knows my cards

there are programs that show the cards after the showdown. I don't know if that is the case. You may not have understood it correctly, but I never heard of seeing the cards before playing. If there really is that, personally I don't believe it, it is a high violation of the game.
It happens and more every day

Funny how some arrogant clowns on here are claiming it's absolutely impossible when there's actually been a good handful of successful attempts that any literate person can Google and read about.

It is definitely possible. I have done it in the past. No kidding . . . there is a push program or some such that I found online. I downloaded it and used it a few years ago. With it, I could see the cards in another person's hand. It worked fine, and after seeing it work, I stopped playing online poker for a few years! Recently, I started playing on wsop. I was doing fine for awhile, but recently, I am convinced that my cards are visible to some of the players. This makes it almost impossible to win. I have $6.57 left on the site and when that is gone . . so am I!!

Great program, cool.
And there is such a program that allows you to use a special code to make yourself, for example, an infinite amount of money in your wallet, or, for example, eternal life, or, for example, an infinite number of bullets. But I'm not used to using it, so I still play cards with the old conservative method.
.... And I also know that if you look behind the monitor, if you carefully look in this direction, it is quite possible that you will be able to see the closed cards of your opponents, even without using special programs :)

So you had access to a program where you could see the opponent's cards. It worked fine but after seeing it work you stopped playing for a few years. This statement alone is hilarious. You're in a situation where you're basically printing money and you decide to quit and instead play a few years later on WSOP site with pennies in your account.

What was the name of the program?
What site were you using it on?

I don't think there is any player on earth at any skill level who would be comfortable playing against someone who can see their cards.
Actually your wrong. I know someone who developed 2 softwares. One was for the poker where it can freeze your opponent from playing hands having them instantly fold, and the other is a reader.. his friend ended up using one on the site and got caught. The guy who developed them never used them but he showed them on a video..kinda crazy

I'm not sure what YOU'RE* saying exactly. Are you saying your acquaintance was comfortable with opponents seeing his cards because he was also cheating and could make them fold? It seems you have came up with some fantastical situation that goes beyond the spirit of the conversation for the sake of.....well I'm not even sure.

I wouldn't worry about it. I've been on your tables and it seems like you don't even know your cards never mind someone else knowing them

Recently on a Facebook page I saw a publication about a program that showed the cards of your opponents, which caught my attention, he commented that it was used for all online poker rooms, personally I found it something very shocking because I find it very unpleasant if this is possible and I would not like to play against someone who has this type of program. Some of you have known about this type of program, if you have used it and what do you think:confused:
I have seen several adverts for such software and believe me it is tempting to have that kind of edge over other players, BUT! I truly believe that if it was true why would anyone try and make money from other players by selling the secret to their Success? If I found a means of making money from something like that, The last thing I would do is sell it openly on-line.
Therefore I believe it to be a scam! Poker sites have ways and means of detecting Software programs, running alongside their own programs and if you were only Suspected of using it you would be banned and your account seized, GG Poker have recently warned players that use odd calculating Software while playing on their site because the software they use already does that for you, Now it could be possible they don't want their software to be shown to be dishonest in any way, or It could be that it interferes with their Program, I don't know, but it shows they know when players are using Bots and illegal software!
I did hear years ago that an Employee from one site Stole a copy of their software that shows players cards face up, Which is how they can Stream some of the games with a 30 minute delay so that it does not gain anyone an advantage, He used it himself to play some games On-line to cheat other players and was fired and prosecuted and sent to prison, His winnings were confiscated and they paid it back to players that had been cheated. I ask you "Is it Worth the Risk"

I think it's not a matter of seeing what's running on someone else's screen, but simply while playing to see all the cards facing you. I'm sorry I didn't register but once I happened to be I, the one who sees all the cards dealt, was at a regular replay tournament. So I think it is possible. I didn't use any special program, it was an accident that made me think.
