Wouldn't it be awesome if pokersites had webcam games

I played on 2 sites that actually did have this option. Rarely more than 1 or 2 people would have the camera on. Also what you would see you really did not want to see, lol

on GG poker you can record a small video after a hand (or during the game i not remember well since i never use that option) and then you can send this and your opponent will see it.

the only time someone used it against me was to show a middle finger in a freeroll...lol. after that i never saw it again. not sure if its even still an option to be honest.

I like that! I faced a good opponent from Belarus or Ukraine, I don't remember... and after admitting that the game was difficult for both of us, he sent a friendly video, it's about 2 seconds, but it was cool! and I got scared, because I didn't know about the feature.

I don't understand why some people (above) are so against the idea ! When 888 had it, it was optional. It was up to the player to turn their camera on or off.
888 Poker ended up letting it go anyway, probably due to some abusive use.

I remember that it used to have these type of tournaments years ago, but I don't remember the poker room. I never played them because I never liked the idea to show my face in a online tournament.

Hi,
I used to play webcam poker on 888. Now they deleted this feature. But it was very fun.
There was 24/7 cash game tables and you were able to see your opponents, we even talked during the game and had some good discussions.
Also there were 2 or 3 daily webcam tourneys.
But a lot of people did not show their faces and that was not fair.
The feature does not exist anymore but it was very fun.
What if pokerstars launches webcam poker, I don't think they will, it's not like them

These people were smarter than others then. Who says you have to show yourself from webcam lol

I don't see any sense in it.
A lot of things have to be right for this to happen like the internet connection signal, it changes from country to country, imagine that with 200 or more people!! This is unfeasible.

There was an App that had this option besides 888 but there was people misusing the camera feature if you get what I mean.

Would be nice to play with friends but don't feel comfortable with strangers.

I think that the mandatory presence of webcams will change the attitude to online poker.this is one of the advantages of online poker, that the opponent is not visible, the chances are equalized for weak players.it is more difficult for more experienced players to calculate newcomers.and if you introduce cameras, then weak players will become even weaker.and it turns out that experienced players will simply increase the chances, which are already high without cameras.

It's pointless in my opinion to have to use webcams. However, I would find it intriguing if we were to play in Virtual Reality and then you could observe everyone's movement, which would create an advantage for skilled players, which I would like to see happen at any time. Webcams, on the other hand, have no genuine use.

I played on a site years ago, I think only a few games but I think you had to have your web cam on. Cannot remember the site though.
