Your best option is America's Cardroom or similar home-brewed site with dedicated hosting of sports betting and wild casino games (like baccarat).

Online poker platforms

To those able to play legal online poker in the US this far, which sites do you prefer and why? Also, does anyone have experience with computer based vs App based(such as on an ipad)? Pros/Cons?

I prefer ACR (when it’s back to running right). Honestly for me, their software update is what got me back into online poker. I’ve tried other places and the games are too small and the software just feels like riding coach when I’m used to first class.

I have not tried mobile other than play chips. Good luck!

I think ACR is the best when it's working properly but for now I play at BetOnline to get my poker fix. They have plenty of tournaments and cash tables going there so I've been playing there. Intertops is also good as far as I can tell but I don't play there much with the exception of the Cardschat freeroll on Saturdays.

Imo ACR is the best of those sites you mentioned but right now you have to be patient and wait for them to work out all the kinks with their software update so I've been playing at BOL mostly and Intertops when its Saturday because thats when I have time to play the Cardschat freeroll. BOL and Intertops are good substitutes for ACR but to me ACR is the best site for US players. I'm not a fan of Bovada and Ignition poker which are the same because the players are anonymous there and that makes it harder to play there at least imo.

ACR looks like it’s back up and running with little to no issues. Good luck!

Does anyone know what kind of traffic BetOnline have compared to ACR?

BetOnline doesn't have nearly as much traffic as ACR but they do run tournies all day and have some cash tables going. I like ACR better because I just like the software and many freerolls they run there throughout the day.

Thanks, unfortunately here in the US our poker options are limited.

if you want an alternative, there's 64 spades and nolimitcoin both have low traffic

I've heard of NoLimitCoin Poker. I received an email saying I'd receive free "coins" or whatever their currency is upon signing up but I signed up and never did so I don't play on it :/

US poker rooms

Curious as to preferred US friendly sites... I haven't seen anything about ignition, bovada, or global...

The only US friendly poker sites I've been playing at since ACR has been down are BetOnline and Intertops when they host Cardschat Saturday freeroll. I noticed that Ignition is the top rated US poker site by Cardschat but I disagree. I'd rank them ACR, BetOnline, Intertops, and then Ignition but thats mainly because I don't like that players are anonymous on Ignition. Some people find that feature to their liking because it makes it harder for sharks to prey on you but I don't like it because I like to know who I'm up against.

I've only played at Americas Cardroom and a bit on BetOnline. ACR normally is the best for tourneys but has relatively tough cash game competition. BOL seems to have softer competition, and from what I've heard Ignition and Global Poker have the softest cash games.

I would play any US site where Cards Chat has regular games scheduled.

unibet is the best for this purpose, there are freerolls in every two hours

I can confirm I make my bankroll from freerolls at Unibet, it is possible.

Altough recently they downgraded some freerolls (for example no more bounties).

Intertops is cool but how is it the best? Less players. Bovada.lv is awesome. Plus they have zone poker with more than enough traffic 24 hours a day. On sportsbetting or betonline there is never anyone playing boost/zone poker and late at night its hard getting anything going

I didn’t like Bovada because of the way you can’t note anyone. When you’re a grinder, those notes on players becomes priceless. I’ve waited patiently for ACR and it looks like most things are worked out. They were worth the wait imo.

I like anonymous play :) hasn't hurt my grind. In fact grinding means your playing a lot which makes info on you easier to acquire.
