I hope that this will be clarified and your account unblocked. I understand the idea behind these rules by stars but i wonder what happens with players who play from phones. At least in eastern europe it is common practice by mobile operators to mask hundreds and even thousands of users behind the same public IP address. Some of the internet providers still do the same with home internet users. I wonder how stars handle that? Maybe they are dealing with cases where less than 5 people share the same ip address. In any case this is very useful thread because frankly i never thought that if several people play from same location this can be a problem. Thanks for sharing that experience.

"10.4 A User may only have one User account with Rational Group and shall only use the Service using such single account. It is prohibited for a User to open multiple accounts with Rational Group. In the event that Rational Group becomes aware of additional accounts opened by a User, Rational Group may close such additional accounts without notice and may confiscate funds held in such additional accounts."

I havent got new information. Nothing new from pokerstars. My account is still frozen, the account of my brother is still open.
I expained it to Stars many times by email, nothing new. So I dont know if it will be solved.
But it is very sad for me. Because I know that I didnt do something bad, something against rules.
I play on pokerstars 7 or 8 years and I have never had some problems. Now my account is frozen and they dont answer to my new emails. I dont understand it :(

Did you happen to receive a automated message from them, stating they have received your inquiry? There should be a Ticket Number with the email, too. At least this is what I have seen with my correspondence with PokerStars.

I would say, if you don't receive something from them, send another email in the next couple days.

I have already sent more than 20 messages to support pokerstars.com and yesterday I received another letter that your issue will be resolved soon. How many this "soon" is unknown. Looking forward to my return PokerStars.COM.

I'm afraid this could be irreversible.
pokerstars when you close an account permanently closes it and does not open it again.
Surely your brother has violated some pokerstars policies and this is hurting you and even worse if as you indicate they play from the same computer.

But I ask him. He didnt do something against rules. And his account is still open. Yesterday he played during the evening. And his account is ok, open for deposits and withdraws also. So this is what I dont understand

Maybe it is good idea to ask your brother to write to pokerstars again and try to explain them the situation. Maybe as his account is still active they will take closer look if he contacts them and unblock your account.

Hi guys,
I have a big problem with my Stars account.

Today I recieved email from pokerstars that :
Hello,Due to your close association with the player '................ ', we have closed your account.
Please understand this policy is in place to protect the integrity of our games.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused.


What can I do please? It is account of my brother. We have never played in the same Tournament. Maybe problem is that we play from the same IP address. But not in the same tournament or in the same table, Never.
I send this information to pokerstars, but account is still closed :confused:
Do you think that they will open my account ?







Can't be the problem there must be some other Issue, others on CC know what my brother did to Poker-Stars Staff and they Just banned him for life, and he was playing from my house "Under the Same IP address", also my wife @ that time was also playing under this residence under the same IP address, so the Issue you're under can't be because of that reason, and their must be something that you either are hiding from us or something, you're unaware of.

Sorry but my take on It, I do hope It gets resolved for you though

Support, security believes that you have 2 accounts. This they immediately block. Try to convince them, but I read that in such cases, players rarely return to their account.

Are you suspected of creating and using 2 accounts from the same IP address? If so, it will be difficult for you to return your account back. They have a tough security policy.

I explained it in other posts. I have personally only one account. I use this account 7 or 8 years. But my brother created the account from the same IP address with the same post address maybe before 3 years. But it is no problem I think

Now my account is frozen and I cant play on Stars anymore. This is not fair I think

I understand you. Most likely you will not be given access. All the same, ask them to delete their brother's account and return your access. If the brother does not mind.

But we dont want to delete my brother's account. He is using this account.
It cant be problem that we have account both.
The pokerstars must have another problem with it. But they dont want to explain it to me, where is the problem

You have a violation. 2 records from the same address. this is called a multi-user account. It will be difficult for you to prove that the second record of your brother is not yours.

No, his account is still open. It is interesting
Get your Mother ; Father ; Uncle : Auntie ; Friend or such to open and verify an account . It is my opinion that PS will accept deposits from you and once that has happened , they will accept withdrawals as well .

Security service PokerStars prohibits to transfer to anyone all information from personal correspondence with the participant of the poker room. They inform the participant of correspondence about it. If the transferred information in any way falls into the hands of the security service of PokerStars("well-wishers" a lot), then the restoration of the account can be forgotten forever. Be careful. I do not advise you to pass information and even more so to make any screenshots of emails.

I had the same problem but I had 2 accounts..then they asked me witch one do I wanted to play coz they deleted one. So I got only one now
