Here's an ugly thought for Amerikans.

If/when those Euro sites ever return, they would list the games at GMT!
Why you thinking ugly DJ?
Right now their games on based on GMT time ...thats where most of their players are from...This makes good business sense.
If they ever open again for USA and if they use their business sense they will tailor their games to where their players are...makes sense.
ask previous US players who used to play on Party if they want it back?
Answer would be yes:D

Party has continued to operate in American time throughout the whole period that Americans have been excluded from playing there. You can actually see, in the first of my screenshots above, that the time is listed in EDT.

On the face of it a strange decision, considering that it can`t be particularly convenient for their current player base. It probably proves, as Dmorris has said above, that they have long been planning to return to the American market.

I didn't like Party when we could play there and would only play there when they return if they had the highest traffic by a long shot.

I got my first BR at party, and xfered it to FT when I had to pull it out cuz of UEGIA.

By then I had learned to prefer FT, then Stars, above Party, but we also had Paradise (Very comfortable), and others to play at. I had many and would play many multi-tabling (still had a multi-tabling brain then).

But the pics Egon posted don't look inviting to me. I prefer dark tables so the cards pop out at me.

If they were the biggest player around with huge fields and fast filling tourneys I would bite the bullet and play there again.

Party was the big guy on the block before 2006. Their SNG and ring game traffic was the highest of any site. The tables were loose and a lot of players did not mind losing. I would like to see them come back to the US, but our government is never going to allow it IMHO. Always a chance though.

Appreciate you posting the link Lab Man. For those non-US folk who have played there since 2006, how is the software now, some of the best? Does the Party Points program (if it's still called that) compare well with what pokerstars offers?

I loved Party's almost constant re-deposit bonuses. It made it hard to lose as a grinder. Sure miss them. Got 2 nice tennis rackets and an I pod as a "parting gifts" when I was forced to cash in the points.

Oh, for the days of neteller and all those sites.........

Any news on whether this will actually happen or not? I heard a few weeks ago that they wanted to but what poker site doesn't want to get into the US? I personally left it back in 04 or 05 but didn't mind the actually functionality of it. Just moved on to better sites (at the time) like stars and FTP. Does anyone know if accounts from that long ago would be reopened? I believe i still have the same bank account but that was definately 3 or 4 emails ago and a hacker would have a better chance with the password than I would.

Nobody can possibly know if it will happen or not. Not until pro-poker legislation passes and Party applies for a US license, or attempts to partner with a us casino.
