I would have to agree with the majority, Pokerstars is the best one.

It's just next to impossible for globalising corporations to resist skimming the cream, especially when they feel they can't get caught.

I wouldn't trust any poker platform as far as I could throw them...

Sadly, if I want to pursue my poker goals I have little choice- if I had the means to travel or lived somewhere like Las Vegas, London or anywhere with regular live poker, I'd hardly play online at all..

Before you even get to the legitimacy of the platform you have HUDs, bots, collusion, multi-accounters and other cheats to contend with..

I'd like to see any current sham/scam sites to be exposed like the cheating at ultimate bet, full-tilt etc...

Assuming they were honest. Software, computers, can never match reality. Perhaps it is the subject for which many find strange situations ...
Will you have to play against the players and also against software?
I would like to play live, I'm not that lucky, I never did.
Greetings companions

I can say: Stars, Party, 888, ACR and GG are honest and reliable online poker rooms.
I was able to win there and i had fast deposits and cashouts (most important).
Still testing WHill, intertops, Unibet, Bet-at-home, Betonline, Winamax and maybe with Bitcoin some like Carbon...

I am new to this whole poker world and to me this is confusing that dishonesty seems to be just accepted and taken granted as a default. I myself have not run into dishonesty in other than marketing. When they advertise that you get $88 as a sign up bonus but then there are complicated catches and conditions to get that "bonus" and even taking the winnings as a hostage, that is far from being honest. If you advertise something as a sign up bonus the person should get that for signing up and period. If you are not willing to give that then don't advertise it. My $88 was few balance deposits of $0.5 and maybe 3 or 4 tickets to $0.5 and maybe one was to $1 buy-in tournaments. And even some of my "penny bonuses" expired because I did not loose my winnings from freeroll tournaments quickly enough. And of course there is no place where I could follow how much bonuses I have received and how much I am still to receive and under which conditions.

Somewhere I have seen posts that the systems at the poker sites are rigged. That winning players start getting bad hands etc. What got me suspicious was when I was playing 10c Blast tournaments in 888. Before each tournament it is supposed to raffle the prize money for the winner. There are different amounts between I think 10c and 1000$ that are rolling in the screen and then stops to an amount that the winner gets. I have played I think some 50 blasts and not one time the wheel stopped to a bigger amount than 30c. Not even 50c, not to mention $1 or more. And they say "Players compete for a randomly drawn price pool up to 10.000 times the buy in." Even when the wheel some times already has stopped to a bigger amount times it moves again and turns to 20c or 30c. I feel with this they treat us like if we were complete idiots. And I guess saying nothing we are too. I would totally be a lot happier if they would honestly say "Since there are 3 players we only draw pools up to 3x buying just to make sure we never lose money."

Has any of you ever seen bigger Blast price than 3x buyin at 888?

If there was just straight forward honest poker site that would make their money out of rakes and buyins, deal really random cards and leave the rest for the players I would not ask for more. I guess it could be possible to determine this if you could have systematic long time statistics of the cards they deal and compare it to mathematical probabilities.

Since iun this thread many seem to agree that the poker sites are dishonest would you be willing to share in specific what kind of dishonestly you have run into and in which poker rooms? I have read that some people have accused some sites have their card dealing rigged. Those people based their views in frequency they had lost with high probability winning hands far more often that the probabilities are.

As what comes to the topic in this thread isn't "the most honest" same thing as "the least dishonest"?

Do such poker rooms exist? And how to check how fair the poker room is?

Still, no one seems to be willing to tell what kind of dishonesty they have run into? Please share your experiences and doubts with your arguments!

My experience is (I already wrote in my earlier post) that at 888 in Blast tournaments they state they draw the prizes randomly between 10c and $1000 for 10c buy-in tournament for 3 players. Before the tournament there is some kind of "wheel of fortune" that draws the prize and there are different prize money amounts rolling. I think I have played some 50 tournaments and I never saw a higher prize money than 30c. Some times even when the wheel stopped first at say $1 it jumped back to 20c or 30c. I guess there could be higher prizes some times but at least they are not picked randomly.

If some one does not know: In Blast tournaments at 888 (I don't know if the same term is used elsewhere?) you have 2 minutes to play a "normal" tournament and after that the system plays all-in on the behalf of players until there is a winner.

I also began to doubt this all in process when I lost so many times in a row with higher stacks this all in phase of the game. Then, at one point I won I believe 9 tournaments in a row weather my stack was higher or lower than the other players had. I am not sure if because of this I should doubt or trust the system more?

I don't know how to understand the most honest))) There are convenient ones for me: 888, Party Poker, Poker Stars

totally agree with you!!!!

I am afraid these poker related sites are a bit biased evaluating the actual poker sites. To me it seems they are some what rubbing eachother's backs and maybe not saying things exactly and bluntly as they are.

I believe that big sites have no reason to influence the result. Who earns on the site does not influence their earnings.

Opinion

I think the most unbiased and honest room is AmericasCardrum. This is the only room where you don't need to make a first deposit to cash out. Is this not an indicator of loyalty to your customers ?!

Good day, please write down what do you think is the most honest room?

It is difficult to say which site is the most honest. But there are many sites that have a good reputation, are reliable, secure and for me these are the main criteria. For me, these are the following sites:
PokerStars
888
Americas Cardroom
BetOnLine
SportsBetting
All of these sites are trusted, and our community works with these sites.

Interesting quirks about Betonline in a few areas

One thing I do when I start on a new site and it seems that I might want to start playing on that given site as my number one option is check out their different types of deposit methods. One thing I found out about Betonline and their point-to-person deposit methods is that those types of deposit are HIGHLY succeptable to fraud!!! So much so that they give you the persons name and that person may be off work that day, not work with the company anymore, or that individual’s name may be on a “fraudulent “ list by the actual money transfer companies. I was trying to make a small deposit to Betonline to a certain individual who I came to find out had been arrested for FRAUD just around the time their name came up in my data to send my deposit to. At the time I was trying to use RIA as my deposit method. I actually received a phone call from RIA and my large, well-known bank here in the U.S. and both were adamant that unless I actually knew the individual that I should absolutely NOT be sending money to that part of the world. I worked over the phone with whoever their main man was in that department within RIA and after 3 very frustrating days was informed that the name generated by their system for me to send the money person-to-person was no longer working with the company because they had gotten into “legal” trouble(I.e. fraud). And the representative from RIA that I was working with informed me that that South American region had one of the highest rates of fraud in their entire network. And because I had tried to send money to a person in current legal troubles my RIA account was closed and permanently disabled because I had tried multiple times to send money to that individual. That’s when I started getting a little nervous about the entire person-to-person transfer system. Of course the people who were helping me send the transfers from my end constantly asked ,”Now you actually know this person AND have sent them money before? Right?” Me trying to get my account funded at the time replied,”Yes, of course I have. You don’t think I would just send money to a complete unknown do you?!?” So at this point my RIA account is totally defunct/closed permanently because of my multiple attempts to send money to individual(s) under investigation and to a region of the world where fraud runs rampant!
So I went to their other person-to-person transfer option with their 2nd company listed on their website, who’s name escapes me currently at this late/early hour and ran into the EXACT same problems!! That’s when I really started to get a little nervous about this site in particular and ended up just moving my poker playing to another site altogether.
I know what your saying, “Why didn’t you just send/use the bitcoin option?” Well at the time Bitcoin was climbing to new record highs and I did not want to utilize my Bitcoin.
I enjoy playing on Betonline but I would use extreme caution if you try to fund your account utilizing ANY of the person-to-person money transfer options.
With all that being said I would not consider the aforementioned website as being one I personally would label as honest.
Again, this was just my own personal experience and hopefully it was an isolated incident but both RIA and the other person-to-person option they had at the time resulted in BOTH of my money transfer accounts being permanently closed!!

Buyer Beware
