I am new to this whole poker world and to me this is confusing that dishonesty seems to be just accepted and taken granted as a default. I myself have not run into dishonesty in other than marketing. When they advertise that you get $88 as a sign up bonus but then there are complicated catches and conditions to get that "bonus" and even taking the winnings as a hostage, that is far from being honest. If you advertise something as a sign up bonus the person should get that for signing up and period. If you are not willing to give that then don't advertise it. My $88 was few balance deposits of $0.5 and maybe 3 or 4 tickets to $0.5 and maybe one was to $1 buy-in tournaments. And even some of my "penny bonuses" expired because I did not loose my winnings from freeroll tournaments quickly enough. And of course there is no place where I could follow how much bonuses I have received and how much I am still to receive and under which conditions.
Somewhere I have seen posts that the systems at the
poker sites are rigged. That winning players start getting bad
hands etc. What got me suspicious was when I was playing 10c Blast tournaments in 888. Before each tournament it is supposed to raffle the prize money for the winner. There are different amounts between I think 10c and 1000$ that are rolling in the screen and then stops to an amount that the winner gets. I have played I think some 50 blasts and not one time the wheel stopped to a bigger amount than 30c. Not even 50c, not to mention $1 or more. And they say "Players compete for a randomly drawn price pool up to 10.000 times the buy in." Even when the wheel some times already has stopped to a bigger amount times it moves again and turns to 20c or 30c. I feel with this they treat us like if we were complete idiots. And I guess saying nothing we are too. I would totally be a lot happier if they would honestly say "Since there are 3 players we only draw pools up to 3x buying just to make sure we never lose money."
Has any of you ever seen bigger Blast price than 3x buyin at 888?
If there was just straight forward honest
poker site that would make their money out of rakes and buyins, deal really random cards and leave the rest for the players I would not ask for more. I guess it could be possible to determine this if you could have systematic long time statistics of the cards they deal and compare it to mathematical probabilities.
Since iun this thread many seem to agree that the poker sites are dishonest would you be willing to share in specific what kind of dishonestly you have run into and in which poker rooms? I have read that some people have accused some sites have their card dealing rigged. Those people based their views in frequency they had lost with high probability winning hands far more often that the probabilities are.
As what comes to the topic in this thread isn't "the most honest" same thing as "the least dishonest"?
