Flawtards are still tards imo.

The randomness of the cards dealt online is not flawed/enhanced/rigged/changed/different in any way. Unlike all the idiots, I've done the math on my own rather significant sample both for starting hands and final hands and everything is basically dead on. So unless your contention is that it's rigged in a way that the cards are random, the final hands are random, and the winners are random (ie not rigged) you're wrong and you deserve to be hit by coconuts.

It is not random, it's what known as pseudo random. Its very close but the answer is no.

The link below will explain visually with the least amount of programming knowledge.

Do you know Bo?

(And is that a baby picture of you????)

How studio life going? I am back working on some new songs, have Kotakt4 and am having big problems when I have mega tracks going, and the freeze function dont seem to help.

The cool thing is, I dont think many people will be irritated by my little derail here.

Okay... That's it...

first of all THIS person started the thread

I know alot people who say when playing online the cards that come are not random? What's your opinion?

wtf did forum members think was gonna happen posting this obviously controversial topic on a regular thread. I didn't know the response it would generate until after I posted.

I posted THIS:
Sure it's random... As random as improbable and implausible, going against world known calculated statistics, can be...
After taken "strange" bad beats and since that point I get trolled at even THOUGH I stated THIS:
Aiight... TRUCE...
AND:
...Isn't this issue dead though? I don't feel like revisiting old conflicts if it's NOT neccessary...
AND:
... I AGREED on alot, actually most, of what you had explained until...
AS WELL AS:
Sounds like a plan... This thread probably should have started there anyway. I really didn't know that these topics generated that much emotion from forum members...

I stated what I believed to valid OPINIONS and asked honest questions as well as trying to look at both sides with an open mind... This is how veteran forum members respond?

Flawtards are still tards imo...
... you're wrong and you deserve to be hit by coconuts.

Y'all want to continue to throw coconuts? Aiight...

Stay tuned...

Fact is Ezekiel... folks wouldn't spend so much time on you, if you didn't have some promise. You would just be ignored.

It's just a little tweak. Take a breath and move on.

This is never ending question

Yes i think they are random, I've heard so many peeps say merge is rigged but i have seen the same beats at all sites like fulltilt poker stars party merge they all the same. I have even seen the bad beats live at casinos and on tv so yes they random and nothing is rigged.

Yes the cards dealt are 100% random, I do a little programming and I learned how the random numbers are generated. They generate a number by counting the seconds from since 1970 so that value always increase, which allows you to get a random number from it. It probably doesn't make much sense to you, but take my word for it, it's as random as it gets.
so are u suggesting that once the hole cards are dealt...the flop, turn, and river that are in the deck have yet to be determined? unlike in a live game where they are already determined? such as, if i wait an extra 3 seconds to call a bet on turn...the river card would be different had i called in 5 seconds?

Yes, that is how most sites work.

..... Oh, and as far as the shuffling algorithm used, Stars is the only site I know of that uses what is called a static shuffle or "set" deck. Basically just like a live dealer, where the order of the deck is predetermined and doesn't change during the hand. All other sites use a constant shuffle where the remaining deck is constantly being reshuffled, hundreds or thousands of times per second. So if you take an extra second to make your decision, the next card is going to be totally different. And the flop you see when you fold is not the same flop you'd have seen if you called. This is also why the "rabbit" feature that many sites do now is strictly for entertainment purposes of the fish and not actually legit, because you can't rabbit from a constantly shuffled deck. And it's kind of funny that the only site that could truly rabbit -- PokerStars -- doesn't offer it (AFAIK).

Let me throw a coconut here. :) Having an opinion about something that is confirmed makes no sense. You don't need an opinion about gravity. It works regardless. Your opinion on sunrise doesn't affect whether or not it rises in the east.

Many people have analyzed databases with millions of hands and they have all come to the same conclusion, that the results at the poker sites are statistically valid. In other words, its a fact that it is not rigged. Your opinion, simply doesn't matter.

I get the concept that a deck of cards the turn will always be the same card but if it's constantly shuffling and (like this example) the card is different based on the amount of time to call. I want to know why people bring this up? it's not like you know what will come up on a deck. and it's not like you can know the flush will hit but you're going to wait a few more because then it wont.

One fun way we used to play (late and drunk) was just spread the cards out. everyone take their own cards then sb draws a card for flop then bb takes second card for flop and so-on similar to not knowing which card will be taken. except we could assign blame.

I agree that this has no bearing on the randomness of the hands, but I think people bring it up because it actually is interesting in a mildly geeky sort-of way. I'd like to know why PS prefers a static deck/shuffle and the other sites go the dynamic, continuous shuffle route.

Does it affect randomness? Nope. Is it interesting? Depends on your interests. Will it spawn more rigtard theories? Probably, but tbh, they will come-along with or without these sorts of posts.

It depends on integrity of the site. Randomness can be influenced bye programming tricks...

My coconut has already been volleyed back "regtard" but then I guess YOU would know that when I responded with "My thoughts on 'Online" Variance" which WV conveniently shifted into "hyper-space" by moving it to #6072 on the "rigtard" thread. Forget you regtards...

I look forward to eventually meeting up with you formulaic "Slansky- types" on the "battlefield". I am sure it will be, how shall I say it? Poetic...

NUFF SAID...

(...stated Ezekiel gently as he allowed gravity to let the coconuts fall from tensed fingers, turned, and walked off the battlefield into the sunset...)

Why are you here?

We - the "regtards" (I actually like that TBO) as well as the casual member of CC value the social interaction as well as the poker information we have and give here.

You seem to disguise an "easy" demanor in a very provocative approach in your posts. You seem to enjoy the conflict and provocation. It is not what this forum is about.

It is about learning poker, talking about poker, getting better at poker.

So::::

why r u here??

(Wakes up from slumber...)

Thinks "Hey, I didn't start this thread nor the garbage that's the result of it. Came here to learn and converse different views... I've read CC forums as a non-member throughout the years... I Luv CC but obviouly not the rigid-minded thinkers that are gonna troll me... Reread the ENTIRE thread... I originally tried to be civil... Maybe they should keep the focus on "Is it really random?" and not sling objects if they live in glass houses..."

In other words stick to the topic instead of rehashing this OLD, stupid stuff...

(Sprays self with Regtard Repellant, turns over, and goes back to slumbers...)
