Swaggy,
if you are still interested in a group to talk strategy and experiences, Id be interested.
I live on the east coast, so the later the better for me. How about yourself?

Could be interesting I admit. East coast, works for me. So in north east, south east or the middle east? North here.

Hey Rich, IM Ken. OK where in the empire state are you. I'm in the capital district now but born and raised in Brooklyn. Dam small world.

I am more or a tournament player. Play what I can but moving up to $3.30 I was comfortable playing 10NL but i really hate cash games. Odd i know. Haven't been in one in over a year +. My schedule is about the same as yours. Got to adjust for kids constantly tho.

Hey SwaggyJ! And my fellow Global Poker players! I have been trying to figure out how to post new threads on here so I could make a thread about Global Poker and then I found this one ha! SwaggyJ I also tried to send you a private message had it all the way typed out then tried to send it when the CardsChat admin popped up and said I have to have 15+ posts before I am able to send private messages.. It also deleted everything I had typed out so I couldn't at least copy paste it ha! Anyway I am definitely interested in making a group dedicated to Global Poker and I see there are other people within this thread that would be interested as well. Global Poker is definitely one of my favorite poker rooms and quickly became one of my favorite poker rooms after I started playing in it! I will say however the actual poker play on GP is not at all what a live poker game would be like. There is always one if not more face cards in the community cards and GP is absolutely bad beat central!! How to avoid the major heart ache that can come from the flawed algorithm on Global Poker? Only play premium hands!! If either of your cards are anything lower than A K Q J then do not play the hand!! Anyway all of that said I really enjoy what GP is doing and you will not find a poker room with more freerolls. They maybe about even with ACR anyway. Along with freerolls there are a few other ways to earn free Sweep Coins or $. Let me know if anyone on this thread would like to chat more about GP and maybe get the Global Poker group going! I just need to make a couple more posts before we can do some private messaging but I will message you guys as soon as I hit 15 posts.

I looked all over but couldn't find a thread about Global Poker. I will be making a deposit soon on there and looking to see if anyone wants to share their playing experiences on GP. Regardless if they are good or bad.

Also wanting to see if anyones interested in a GP poker group to talk strat, games, etc..

Thanks in advance!

Never heard of them until I read this post, personally I would stay well clear of them, there are plenty of more reputable site's out there, and although they may not be perfect, I would sooner play on a site that advertise on National Television channels, like Full Tilt, party poker, pokerstars, among many many more that have a reputable history.

When the fun Stops, STOP!

To be fair, they have started to sponsor major events and are doing a better job advertising in the last year or so on social media platforms. As far as the game play, it is very soft (little to no preflop 3betting, no river bluffs, not a lot of triple barreling etc.). I have some complaints regarding interface and loyalty program(s) (no rake back, no points that can be redeemed, site is kicks me off regularly, "pro mode" is a ****ing joke), but no site is perfect.
As for collusion/cheats, well that's just the risk you take when playing an online game with an anonymous field. All the more reason to join this thread and get to know the fellow players. I think once poker is accepted as a mainstream form of gambling they will start to address some of these matters, however, there are some loopholes their legal team has crafted that allows them to circumvent UIGEA laws. I just hope some clever agent over at DHS doesn't figure it out before it's too late. I went through black Friday and was traumatized from that experience. My advice to EVERYONE... Don't leave more than what you're ok with getting taken, because at any moment uncle Sam can step in and freeze all our accounts in an instant.

Global Poker Scam

Is anyone else having trouble getting a hold of anyone with Global Poker? I've been trying to change my bank account information for 10 days now. I have received exactly zero responses. I've emailed them about four times and I've messaged them several times as well on their Zendesk platform with tickets remaining in "Open Status" with no responses. I have a verified bank account with them, which I closed a year ago. I merely want to switch the account so I can actually withdraw funds.

At this point, I have to believe I was scammed and Global Poker has no intentions of allowing me to cash out. They literally have the worst (non-existent) customer service I've ever encountered.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Its probably because of the holiday season and covid. They have been responding slower then usual.

Global Poker Scam

Thank you, that is a little reassuring. However, 10 days with no reply is in my opinion unacceptable. Imagine going to a casino, winning a poker tournament and the house telling you, 'Yah, we aren't going to pay you right now. We will try to get back to you someday though'.

I even tried sending messages from different emails to make sure that wasn't the issue. I like their poker platform, but ultimately players need to be able to get their money out when they want it. Hopefully something better comes along. Global's lack of any customer service makes them the worst in my book.

Their tourneys are not opening. Is it time to stay away from Global Poker?
