Probably because I have a black card in my pocket that states I pay FTP a minimum of $18k per year for the pleasure to play there. So a free $5 bonus does not excite me enormously.

It's fine that they do micro promotions, but they should scale them up by offering a better bonus for people who rake a lot more. After all, the huge majority of their corporate profits comes from small and medium stakes cash games, yet they focus most of the promotions towards microstakes or donkament players. It's frustrating sometimes.

Mmm correct me if I'm wrong but isn't micro rake a higher percentage than high end rake?

It all evens out in the end bro.

That's irrelevant. The rake in absolute value is tiny at the micros. Very much doubt it pays for the expenses the poker room pays to run those tables. The one and only cash cow for poker rooms is small (50nl+) and medium stakes cash games. Microstakes, high stakes, sngs and donkaments are all insignificant in terms of income for them. So as part of the most profitable type of players for the room, I think promotion that target fringe segments of the Market while ignoring their best customers are deeply wrong.

I rarely play at Full Tilt so these promo's are great for me, I started with $5 there and am now up $15, and I only just make the minimum points there each day playing just 1 rush table.

This promo is so easy to get the max $25. Everyone should do it no matter what stakes they play. It's free money.

No it's not. Playing on some days is simply not an option for people who also have a life, so playing on 9 days out of 10 is anything but simple.

Most likely I'll get the $5 for 5 days, but i'll have played for at least 500 points for each of these days, yet i'll get less reward than someone who makes 5 points for 9 days for a grand total of 45? That's retarded.

I know engaging you in argument about this is somewhat foolish, but honestly I like you quite bit so I can't help but give it one more shot.

It's just $25, as you've pointed out yourself. There is no need to let it tilt you so badly! A missclick call costs you more than that.

And stomping around about how "not everyone has time to play on 9 days due to life etc" is just silly. If you have an Android phone you could make 5 points playing Rush while you take a dump at work. ;) Making 5 points in a day is ultra-trivial for you.

Anyway... I think you are either overreacting terribly, or this is just your usual disdain for players under your stake.

Have one of those fabulous beers made in your homeland my friend.

Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed today!

Haha kidding...I totally agree with you. I understand that FT wants to bring in more players to their site, but I mean come on...I've already paid ~$1500 to them this month (11 days!) in rake. Give me something!!!

Most of these players will never achieve any of the bonuses that people like Belgo get, many will play as much poker as him sometimes too. I am doing this promo just to try get a small ft br going but I wouldn't worry too much about other people getting micro promos if I was in his position. I think the big two do well in giving the fish a little promo there and I would have though thats a good thing.

I'm not tilted in any way. Just slightly annoyed.

Obviously $25 is nothing poker wise. Which is why I wish they had a $250 bonus for people getting 50, 100 or whatever number of points they want at take 2.

And I don't have an android phone. iphone and ipad, but no droid.

Is the black card not targeted at small+ stakes players?

yes, but it's mostly worthless. It's like an extra 3% rakeback or something like that, and all the regs lost about as much when FTP moved from dealt to weighted contributed MGR.

And I know.. I know...

But you only have to get 5 points a day (I will ignore the chance to make more fun about how hard you say this is - sort of) (stomp stomp...) I have to spend 23495867 FTPs on that and you don't take a MGR hit for your unfair $5, but I do (stomp stomp) and it makes my price worth only $$723.96219 (stomp pout... fall on floor)...

:) :) :)

I've already missed 1 day of the Take2 (last night), not because I didn't have the time, just because it does nothing to motivate me to play if I'm not otherwise planning on it. A good promo should motivate people to play more, Take2 doesn't do that imo. Most of you guys are grinding for as close to 5 points as you can get each day. Just imagine how much more play FTP would get if there were additional levels to attain.

I don't hate the promo though because it will add lots of $$s into the system and that flows up. So that means I'll be donating someone else's $25 from Take2 to those better than me (pretty much everyone) at 100nl real soon. :)

I haven't been playing on Fulltilt this year (aside from a few priv. tourneys) but figured I'd do the Take2. As with many others, my pts. on my Take2 page weren't showing up at first. Then, when they did show up it showed that I had only earned 4.7pts. on the 8th when I was certain I'd earned over 6pts. (I was watching that odometer thing.. to make sure I had min. 5pts.).

I wrote to Fulltilt but didn't hear back. Then didn't bother to play yesterday as I was too busy. Figuring I lost my oppurtunity to grab the free $25, I log on to my promotions tonight to have a look anyways... & wow.. they actually adjusted my pts. for the 8th to what I figured it should've been. Guess I have to play some more micro cash tables now tonight, lol.

Day 5 done. +5 bucks. :)

up another 1/2 B.I.

------
@Orifice - Yeah they take a little bit of time, but everytime I've had an issue with the Webpage I've E-mailed them. I just make sure my FTP Odometer hits over 5 for my Rush session. No worries.

I'm guessing they didn't actually adjust your points. I like to monitor it while I play and it's taken a long time for the points to actually reflect correctly. I don't know how many times you checked after you send the e-mail, but there's a surprising delay on the Take 2 promo page.
