I'm signed up, do you guys think this will be a donkfest? Anyone heard if there will be another freeroll?

Donkfest? Absolutely !!! The Guinness World Record one at Stars certainly was, this will be no different. Buy-in for the Stars Guinness game was $11 (plus the satty's) and it was still a major donkfest. FT's is only $5.

it has a max of 50K players........

I think they will hit the record and take away from Stars

With their advance warning that it will take up to 15 minutes for seating, I think they are counting on seating as fast as 1,000's bust out. If I recall, Stars Guinness game didn't start until everyone was seated.

It may be interesting to see if FT's servers will even be able to handle that kind of traffic. Stars was concerned that their 35k player attempt was pushing the limits of their servers. I'll be surprised if FT's survives without a major crash.

Won't be hard for Stars to pull off a larger monster than that since the pic above shows that Stars already surpassed 50k without it even being a 'record' attempt with 53k+ in a FREEROLL.

lol yeah itll take forevvvvvvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrr

Not really, Stars' 35k Guinness game didn't. This will be even funnier though with all the $5 plus satty buy-ins.

The tournament won't start until everyone is seated. If you wasted the time (like I did) to play in a 5 FTP tournament it took 3-4 minutes to get seated but the game didn't start until everyone was seated.

As for the donkfestiness (gosh my spell checker doesn't like that word) of the event, I suspect a lot of all ins early with nothing in the hands. In a way it's probably the best way to play one of these events. I mean who wants to be sitting there after an hour with the same starting stack?

Meh... PS put up a $1 buy-in that is on the high side of 50,000 right now.
FT has no chance to beat it.

You think pokerstars would let FT just take the record without doing anything about it? LOL

Think it's kinda cheeky to have it on the same day though!

Ruthless....

I have just unregistered from both- figure they're both going to take about 7-8 hours and with work tomorrow wouldnt like to do well and then have to sit out but gl to all who play.

A quick observation - I found it interesting that when you divide 50,000 by 9 you get: 5555.55. Of course there's 5556 tables but I guess FT really wanted to make use of the number 5 during this promotion!

Went out on the very first hand. Had AQ on sb, raised preflop, got one caller. Flop came Q73, I bet pot, he shoved all-in, I called. He had TT, and I was more than 90% favourite, but he hit his T on the turn.

Unfortunatelly I dropped out after the first break.
My 1010 failed against AK...

I see it wasnt the pros' day. None of them got in the top 500.

I didn't play in either one because I didn't have the time yesterday, but I was checking the updates and it looked to me like 3/4 of the pros were just sitting out the entire time. I think there were only 16 of them that even made the money. The 2nd to last time I checked it seemed like half of them had less than 200 chips, which to me looks like a sit out. I could be wrong because I didn't watch any of the tables to check, just where they went out looked funky
