I have noticed that most people are saying that the $2 Jackpots are mostly yielding $4 games. I mainly observe the action, and most of the games that I observe are $8+. Is this a case of bait and switch, or has the jackpots loosened up?

Sorry... put on my law hat here for a second, this isn't technically "bait and switch" but it is DEFINITELY morally corrupt and would probably have a law against it here in the US, but luckily for these bums they are in Costa Rica.

At ANY time of day, select ANY of the Jackpot poker games and instead of clicking register, click "Watch"...

like a friggin' miracle you will magically transported to the currently playing highest payout game at that level. After badgering for a while, I got a rep from their company to "accidentally" slip up and admit this was true. It really isn't that hard to program, actually.

The rationale behind this is painfully obvious. If you click "watch" thinking that it gives you an idea of what he/she could be playing for, OBVIOUSLY it is in their interest to suggest that payouts are higher on average. Yet, they show the previous week's top payouts right there on the right, so you see if it more rare to get crazy.

No one wants to rail the smallest jackpot, everyone wants to rail the biggest, so when you are watching them the system chooses the biggest by default, happens the exact same thing in Stars

Wow I can't believe you just admitted that on here.

By default the highest jackpot running is the one showing as a observer

Dude you've written it twice, I've understood you twice. I also knew this was true and had been told by a rep before. I just couldn't believe you'd admit it.

Extrapolate this out:
Imagine a Casino in a big gaming city like Vegas or AC. They have a Progressive Slot Machine. They have an added wrinkle where you can click a button instead of betting where you "observe" a slot pull. And the pull always hits the jackpot. What do you think that would do for business on that particular slot machine?

Okay, not a completely fair and accurate analogy, since you only show the highest CURRENT jackpot being played for, and not the highest possible that can be won. So use that then, the slot machine you hit "observe" and all the slot machines are wired together and the "observer" sees whoever just hit the biggest current jackpot. Would THAT be good for business?

I'd assume so, but I stopped paying any attention to the economics of slot machines probably before I turned 21 and could actually waste my money on them. So, I suppose, if EVERYONE on the floor is getting killed by the machines, the "observe" feature wouldn't be that enticing. But I know people (since when I played in Aurora the machines were right next to the poker tables) who I can pretty much guarantee would see that win, even if it wasn't super huge and they would chase it down to their last penny trying to hit it.

I'm not actually commenting on your strategy/operation actually, I'm merely playing devil's advocate suggesting that casinos (which already kill you guys in revenue anyway) would likely love to have a "wrinkle" like this on any number of games.

Nutcracker, your name fits you well. Dude politely and honestly answers that question and you got to crack his nuts telling him how casinos make more money than them.

I would hope most poker players who pride them selves on being able to make statistical reads on situations would realize that a sight that needs to make money isn't going to pay out $8 for every $6 registered each time by default sometimes are going to have to pay out $4 to switch things up. That's the transparent market for jackpot poker and I personally find some security in the fact that it gives legitimacy to the promotion instead of running their organization into the ground like full tilt did.

No one hit a $400 Jackpot in Jan1 game started in April ish?
The games are similar to sit and spin by pokerstars.
I have won a few $16 and a few $12.
Seems like even when a big prize stops it quickly adjust to $4. huh
