Apparently she paid the 100k to have others take most of the bet action from her.

I think Selbst should stick by the bet with Mercier, but Mercier should consider that Selbst was intoxicated and not thinking properly and show a little mercy, but not drop the prop bet entirely. I think dropping it down to Mercier risking $10K to win $800K-$1M would be fair. Still high, but a lot more fair.

People should take responsibility over their actions. Alcohol may be the explanation why someone did something, it shouldn't be an excuse.

I don't think that this is correct. I believe that Jason will still get $1.8M if he wins. Vanessa just hedged her bets, and found others to take some of her action. I'm not sure how the odds work, but instead of the bet being one on one. It's X number of people on Vanessa's side versus just Jason, and Jason is still out $10K if he doesn't get number 3.

He got two gold bracelets very early in the wsop. I think there are enough $10Ks left for him to win his final one. He got 2nd in a 10K which would have given him 3 bracelets for the summer. I think he will get one more this summer.
