I still don’t see how the party is going to win. Outdated software along with the lack of enough freerolls. The parties have even removed these 1c qualifiers! Rakeback is nice, but more for regulars. For recreational players, they almost do nothing! There is 1 freeroll jackpot and then 1 in 3 days.

Yah because 'freerolls' are what make a pokersite:confused::confused::confused:

Please... this is just stupid. Is this still a poker forum or just a freeroller's paradise?

I love PartyPoker, but what's keeping them back from becoming bigger isn't their million dollar tournaments, it's the fact that their minimum SNG buyin is $1 - 400% that of PokerStars' 25c regular speed tournaments and 5000% that of PokerStars' minimum SNG buyin. PP also offers close to no freerolls and their rewards scheme doesn't even reward you anything until you're generating $25 in rake minimum.
partypoker introduced the Wheel for players who earn less than 25 points not that long ago. You get a spin for every 5 points and can win tickets, cash, free spins etc. Today I used 4 spins from last week and got 22$ as result.

Some people prefer the fancy software, other prefer making profit. It's all good, to each its own ;)

I think that stars is focusing on creating a gamble atmosphere on the website with each update that they are making.

I prefer lower buy ins as the chance of winning are tough enough as it is. so if it reduces the stress on the bankroll and gives you a chance to play for larger returns im all for it.

I frankly did not like the reduction of the Sunday Million buy-in. In my opinion she should seek to create tournament with giant prizes and not tournaments with giant field.

PokerStars is going head to head with Partypoker as another innovation designed to attract the masses and help players win a share of $1 million for less.

Does reducing the cost of a tournament buyin for a large prize entice you to want to play?

PokerStars Slashes Sunday Million Buy-In as Partypoker Rivalry Intensifies

Before I look at the buy-in I prefer to know the number of players at the table, for me that is more important, point against for PS

Stars software is far superior aswell honestly, pp software needs lots of work to be even close to stars, which is why most people still prefer stars, but in every other way party is better, way better rakeback, NO rake on bounties in bounty tournaments, which is huge if you run deep bounties start getting way bigger, softer fields then stars, great promotions and challenges to get real money from and so much more, while all stars offers are some shitty gambling casino bonuses if you deposit and chests that give pretty much nothing lol

Right 100%

I don't have that buy-in, but someday I'm gonna fight for a million.

My opinion partypoker does not reach pokerstars. The fact that the partypoker does not have access to free freerolls, just to get to know this room closer, personally pushes me away.

I've always preferred party poker over Poker Stars. I really like that you can see your chips in blinds rather than just cash. Although I've never had to deal with Pokerstars' customer service, Party poker's service reps are pretty fantastic. Instantly available 24/7.
As a side note, I just registered at 888 yesterday and immediately had my account blocked. It's been 19 hours since I contacted their customer support and still no answer. Not impressed.

How much is the entry costs to Sunday storm?

If memory serves, it's usually $11.. This weekend is half price Sunday so presumably around $5.50..

Needless to say, $27.50 worth of entries for .93c ($1.92 including unsuccessful satellites) is pleasing!

Finished top two or three (out of about a hundred) something like three out of six, haha.. :)

For us micro limit players, the difference between 5.5 and 11 is not big.But the quality of the game depends not on the amount of entry into the tournament but on your ability to control the situation and the game.I wish you all good luck!Improve the quality of the game and see you at the tables!
