You should not as it is a method for us players to be able to distract the mind a little. They should have priority in other laws. Up online poker. Greetings and blessings to all.

Maybe fewer people wil be able to play high stakes, due to the economic impact of the lockdown.
But there will be more people on low stakes during times of crisis trying to get lucky...

Bad for 530 dollar MTT players, but great for NL10 cash game grinders ;)

During this pandemic it seems like it's booming more than ever. I imagine after casinos reopen and people go back out safely it will lose some traffic. But has created momentum for sure towards legalizing nationwide online poker here in US hopefully.

I don´t think so. Online Poker is going to grow, probably.
Internet access is getting cheaper and better with technology.
More people online, more people playing, able to study, making money and having fun.
Also the sites are getting huge. poker stars today you can Bet on Sports, events and has a Big Casino too. So is getting better and better.
I think it will grow more and more.
I WOULD LOVE TO SEE REAL CASINOS BACK IN brazil. I hope that happen soon

On line poker is just the beginning

Poker has gone from playing in saloons to back rooms and then casinos. The rich get richer, I am not sure who created on line poker but this is the beginning. This game will evolve like man did from stone age to what ever comes next. It is a fun game and can be addictive you just need to set limits and you will survive. Who knows how this game will be played one hundred years from now but poker will only get better. There are no short cuts, even the the Pros get caught doing things they should not be doing. Counting cards is old news and someone is always trying to beat the system. The odds are always against us and sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. No when to hold em and no when to fold em. I love poker Capo1014

Though he presented some acceptable arguments, I think poker sites are capable to readjust after this confinement. They have qualified people to come up with new ideas. On the other hand, they would be wrong if they opt for those ridiculous unlimited reentries and the 3, 4 or 5 hours of late registration nonsense. The old freezeouts and one hour rebuys were great poker times.

As long as there is the Internet and laws that allow the game, talking about the collapse of online poker is pointless. Online poker will disappear when the world order completely changes and completely different values and entertainments appear, but this is already from the realm of fantasy. )))

Poker sites did grow quite a bit because of the lock down. Many other forms of gambling did shut down. I do believe...as other forms of gambling open. The increase in poker players will diminish...but some will stay! Which means we should lose some of the newer players...but be better than before the virus! Good for online poker.

It depends too on if the government regulates it at all and allows all sites back in the US.

Online poker is a convenient extension of in-person poker and I think it will continue to grow over the years. However, I don't think that online poker will replace in-person poker. Poker has always required human connection and online poker isn't exactly the same as live poker with its tells.

In my opinion this will happen sometime. There are lots of tips, bots, utilities and etc that's made for helping playing poker. And there will be robots playing with robots after a while. Of course there will be real people but I think they'll be in low limits. Probably there will be new rooms that garantee you playing with real people and in the same conditions. Illustrative example as wewall know is Hold manager. I think it's cheat to use it. You have to make the statistics by yourself - it's honestly. And it will only get worse over time.

I noticed a contradiction in my opinion I said that online poker will die but actually I don't think it'll die I think it will transform from one Condition to another. And then again and again and again:)

Most people dream to 'get rich' or 'set for life' without having to put in a lot of effort. Poker provides the dream and as long as people want 'something for nothing' or 'very much for very little' the dream will remain. I am just happy to have fun and test my abilities.

I'm pretty sure some version of this statement has been made for the past 15 years, If you look back at the industry it's survived everything from black Friday, to major site shutdowns to cheating scandals already. At this point (IMO) online poker is about as vulnerable as the brick and mortar gaming industry.

And as far as 'getting rich' without a lot of effort...:laugh::laugh:

I cannot image that online poker will crash in the sense that it will disappear. It may crash at some point because too many people are trying to access a particular site at one time, but I think the concept of online poker is really here to stay for the long run.
