Hey Danny, here is some cheese for that wine, baby.
Have you listened to his previous rants? He actually thinks they should...
A - rescind this particular rule and B - consult with him and other "high rollers" before they initiate rules that affect him and his high roller friends!
Wow, move over Phil Hellmuth, there is a new legend in his own mind and crybaby extraordinaire in town! Only, to be frank, he is not near as lovable/likeable despite this similarity, IMO.
He has wined on and on about this rule ever since it came out. He basically put forth the argument that the game should be held until his greatness takes his seat and is ready. So, to hell with the sanctioning body or other players. After all, he might be doing PR over at the rail, "signing a fans tee-shirt or talking to them". Self aggrandizing of this sort should take precedence over the little people playing the game, is his basic stance.
As well, his holiness (and other exalted Gods of poker like him, he says - my phrasing), well, they should be consulted first should, goodness forbid, any new rules are desired that might affect them! He basically thinks they are the premo customer at the casino's and should be treated as such, placed above all others.
And the "little people", sick of waiting around while he (and others, who use this cheap tactic when taking forever in a hand might draw a penalty) drags out the game and runs down the timers? Screw them, I guess. Get good like him first, I suppose. He just ignores why this rule was brought about, doesn't he?
Give me a break. He pulled this stunt on purpose, I am sure. He deliberately tried to see how far he could push it and they killed his hand. Not only does he come off like a total jerk, the whole "take my ball and go home" just makes him look even more ridiculous. Hell, I'm surprised he can play in only one chair at the table; two more could be filled by his ego.
Get a clue, Daniel Negreanu!
