I can't imagine how much these professional players lose in cash games. I bet some of those games go unrecorded. I wouldn't tell anyone if I lost more than a thousand dollars on poker. That would just be too embarrassing. I'm not a rich guy and it just doesn't make sense to spend that kind of money on a hobby.

I really can't believe the downturn he has made since black friday hit. Before that he was on a roll winning almost every big pot. With the amount of money he plays for on a weekly basis variance hits him the hardest. Hopefully he will find some way to turn it around on the virtual felt.

Possible, but also unlikely - his book was about NLHE tournament play, and he's making these losses in mixed-game cash games, so it's not a direct translation.

I highly disagree with this. I doubt he even put much effort into the book #1, and #2 he mixes up his style of play very well.
