There is no need for online roulette to behave any differently than the live version. slots, roulette, and virtually every other game casinos offer inevitably take more money from you long term than they pay back... via simple math. It's how casinos make money.
Suppose I offer to roll a six sided die and pay you $50 every time I roll a 6. The catch is that you need to pay me $20 whenever the number rolled is 5 or below. This bet is clearly stacked in my favour and it has nothing to do with using a crooked or loaded die. Even if you initially get lucky where 2 of the first 3 numbers rolled is a 6 (and thus are up $80 so far) you are going to inevitably go broke by continuing to play this game.
With american roulette, there are 38 unique numbers you can bet on but hitting the number only pays you 35 to 1 on your bet.

It's fun, it's relaxing, it's addictive and you get a 2K freeroll ticket after waging 10 bucks (I think it is?). No fun slots though (fortunately). I don't think most people are playing slots or roulette as a long term business investment.

I agree,odds are always in favor of the casino.So if you want to go spend your money there be prepared to be (Best Guess) 1 in 1000 that win win big cash.

If you want it play just for fun than ok play if you want to get profit forget about it... I today try i losse $20 and dealer you win maybe one time of free or four... there just is imposible hit the dealer... This not the same like in life...

It's always fun to turn to black jack once in a while when you're on a poker site. But it does affect your bankroll heavily and could put you off for a while if you lose, making it a lose lose situation for full tilt in some cases. Unfortunately, full tilt is not permitting the trials to be run where I am from.

Magicus I'm sure that you could tell then to put you on a ban lost and they will just tell then that you're gonna get addicted just by having it there and it will be crossed off ypur access. This means that it might still be there for you but you just can't access it at all

Amaya had nothing to do with FTP launching casino games. This thread predates the sale to Amaya by more than half a year, and the announcement they were launching the casino came half a year before this thread.
Also, it was never intended to bring more players to the poker tables. If anything, they were hoping poker players would also play in the casino, where the house has the edge. The casino games are far more lucrative than are poker tables.

It doesn't matter if Amaya did it or not....one of the rationales being given for the proliferation of lottery like spin and go's is it will attract more people to the site who will eventually trickle into "real" forms of poker.
We can see from FTP's experience that in fact these games do not attract unique new players to the site- at least not in numbers worth noting.
People on this board several times have used this line of reasoning for why spin and goes are being cultivated, and I am making an observation germane to that point.
