There are three different COOP's offered on pokerstars Michigan/New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Ontario platforms beginning September 15th through to October 2nd.

  • USCOOP takes place in the shared market of New Jersey and Michigan. It has 89 tournaments with buy-ins from $10 to $2,500 with $3 million in guarantees scheduled.
  • Pennsylvania, players will click on the “PACOOP” bar to find listings for another 89 tourneys, but with $2.5 million in guarantees.
  • ONCOOP with 137 tourneys scheduled with $1.5 million (U.S. dollars)
  • Poker players in the rest of the world where PokerStars can be accessed (excluding three states in the USA and Ontario, Canada) have a championship series of their own to look forward to beginning September 10th to October 4th.

i wish 'Stars was available in my state , but like pavel said , those entry fees are too much for me anyway.

I am hoping there are satellites available, (which make the larger buyin tournaments just a tad more affordable) for all Platforms at least for some of the tournaments. I know there are satellites for ONCOOP.

Yes, it's a cool event! I agree with the moderator that there should be satellites with lower buy-ins or even freerolls, because I think the organizers are interested in as many participants as possible. And I do not rule out the Moneymaker effect, imagine how they will write articles about the fact that a guy who made it to the main event via a satellite or freeroll won.

If you are not in the states of Pennsylvania, Michigan, New Jersey and the province of Ontario, canada, you will not be eligible to participate in this series.

You are lucky enough to be eligible to play in PokerStars WCOOP for the rest of the world outside of Ontario, Canada and the USA.
