Bovada cashouts

I sure hope you are right. I was planning to use this money to buy some heavy duty fishing equipment! I am curious in what bank do you use?..I wonder since my bank is a credit union might make a difference! I am also curious if I am not able to get the check cash what other options there are besides putting it back into the bovada account!

Posting bank names here is probably not a good idea. It shouldn't make a difference that your bank is a credit union. Have you contacted the bank to inquire about the missing check? It could have just been operator error.

As far as if the check doesn't cash, I'm sure Bovada support will make it right for you somehow. They do have a good reputation for customer service.

I have received at least 10 checks this year from bovada. They are usually from bank of Singapore or bank of canada. Never have had an issue depositing my checks and they are usually cleared pretty soon. Don't worry about it.

I recevied my first cash out from Brovada and do not know why but even after I was reading many post in how they were able to cash the check at their local banks I had some doubts. I sent in the check which is from Hong Kong along with another small check in the same envelope for the deposit to my credit union.
I just check my account and my credit union has deposited the small check but has not even put a hold on the bovada check. There is no mention of it and I am thinking they will be sending it back to me. Not sure since they just recevied it but my credit union has always handle my tranactions in a very timley manner.
Except for this one of course. Not sure what will I do if I get the check back. Also to top it off the Netspend Visa card that I had used the last 2 years has been blocked since last week when I tried to make a deposit to my Bovada account. I call them and ask them what;s the deal and they statted to ask me about the tranasactions the last few months from Bovada. I told them it was for a horse racing account in that I know betting on horse racing is still legal. Well they told me that they knew this site was a online gaming site and no longer tranactions will be authorized! I just then told them to closed the account since it was not worth the hassle!
Ok now it looks like I will not be able to cash my check and now also not able to be able played online poker..at least at Bovada! What a freaking day!

What you're describing is why I never make deposits at an atm. There are just too many steps and hands it has to go through before it actually gets deposited. Have you contacted your bank about the missing check yet?

I am waiting to see if I get something back in the mail today. Kind of hesitate to contact them about this check because to be honest I am not very good at lying if they start to ask me questions about this check. I know what you are thinking.If he is not good at lying why in the world is he playing poker..Playing poker online is the only way I can have a chance in winning because if I ever play in person I would lose every freaking time! Anyway I expect the mail to hit this afternoon so I am hoping to see where I stand with this matter . I do want to thank everyone for their replies.It is such a shame we all have to jump thru hoops to simply play a game that we all love and also get pay for it when we do good! Back to the horses! I have a live daily double at Parx at noon! Maybe I can win my $500 there.. At least I know I will get my funds if I do!

I have Bank of America, and about a month ago I tried to use the ATM to deposit my Bovada check, a check that came from a Canada bank.

The ATM wouldn't accept it, and luckily for me it was during business hours. I was able to go into the bank and physically write out a deposit slip for the check. I spoke with the teller, and said that the ATM wouldn't take my check, and her response was because it was an international check. Maybe ATM's are programmed to not take international checks??? Anyway, after I physically walked in and deposited the check, it was no problem at all.

Our situations were similar, although the way Bank of America takes their checks are not with envelopes, but rather they suck it in individually like cash. I wouldn't be surprised if that's why you have a delay, but just some food for thought.

I'm sure things will work out, but I think the delay is due to the international check being deposited by ATM. Good luck.

Hello my fellow poker players!
I have a update on my status if the check will clear and so for this has happen....NOTHING!. I have been waiting since May 10th when my bank did recevied my check. After 10 days I dedcided to call my bank hoping they will not ask too many questions since I do have hard time lying. They informed me that they had to send the check out to another company and it will take from 5 to 20 business days before I will see the funds. Today is the 14th day! Now I do business with a credit union so maybe that is why is taken so long. But beleive me I will not make any more deposits until I know for sure if the cehck will clear.Man I miss the old days of online poker. Miss the days where you can have the funds in your account the very next day. Miss sitting at the computer pissing off some foreigner at the table. To sum it up I just miss it !

Call all of the banks in your city, even outside of your city. Some bank has to cash it, even call the banks up and ask which bank will cash a international check.

It also depends how long it took in the mail system to get to the other bank. It takes a bit longer to cash international checks!

Thanks for the information about Chase. Curious in how does it take for the funds to hit your account after they recevied the image of your check. Of course still waiting for my check to clear and now it is 16 days and counting. I still have 4 more business days to wait according to my credit union but to be honest I do not expect to see anything in that time frame. All the times before when I had checks from poker stars sent to me they were in my acount no longer then 7 days and they were also international also. Again thanks for the info!...

Instantly for me. Like literally, that exact second lol.

As for withdraws, waiting for another now. Last one a couple months ago took 13 days, let's have this one take 12

I've heard a lot of thing about Bovada's checks bouncing and some smaller banks not accepting the foreign checks...has anybody used Citizens Bank to deposit a Bovada check?

I always cash the check at a check cashing store.

Hello to all fellow poker players!

Ok today is the 20th day that my check has been in my credit union and still no funds has been put in my account. They told me that it took up to 20 days and my $500 check from Bovada should be clear by then. Well it looks like my check will turn out to be a busted straight then a royal flush. In a few minutes I will call them and just ask them to return the check. I guess I will try to open another bank account that might take this check. I guess I will look at Wells Fargo or Chase since there were two other players here stated that they had no issues for them to take the check and deposited it. Man this has been a very frustrating time. Now I wonder how long will it take to get my check back from my credit union. That SUX to hear this ! I have cashed checks from Bovada at my Bank (PNC) in the past without any issues (They did take 2-3 business days to clear) but I always received the check sooner than Bovada quoted me.
I haven't done this with Bovada in a couple months (Been too busy on other sites) but I do remember hearing on the news a few months ago about US GOV targeting international transactions and the 3rd party deposit/payout departments of the OLP sites !
Just won a nice amount on Bovada last night; now I'm worried about my future withdraws !

Wow...I've never had those problems switch banks for sure....I live in montana and all my checks from Bovada have been from a Canadian bank...the first check they put like a 3 day hold on...and haven't put one on since...then theres my credit union account never had problems with them either or question...they will release funds for me immediatly...but I have more than enough in that account to cover any checks bouncing...sounds like you need new banks...your in texas for petes sake...thought they were all about freedom of the person and everyone business is there own damn business down there. OH and to deposit this is what I would suggest open up an account with a debit card for all your online shopping...keep the account low put in money as you want to spend it online...this way anyone gets info not much to steal and your in complete control and allowed to make purchases on any site.

THE CHECK FINALLY CLEAR!

The check finally clear and the funds in my account! Since May 10th I been waiting and waiting! Fuuny when I called and asked about the check they had to call another place that process international checks for my credit union. They put me on hold and of course they tell me that the lady that handles this is out to lunch! I said freaking of course she is out to lunch! I then look it has been almost a month and when you do get hold of his lady tell me that if can not release the check just send it back. Well after about 5 minutes I get a call back and they informeed me the funds are in my account....Just check and guess what? THEY ARE! Now this is like a sign from God! BELMONT STAKES tomarrow and time to place a good size wager on a horse that I love! Be my luck to lose the funds in 2 and half minutes in what took almost a month to get! Finally! If I were you, I would consider changing banks anyway if this is how they handle business. I can understand a hold on the check for a few days, but a month? That's just poor customer service on their part. Happy for you that it's finally sorted out.

What is maximum amount that you can move from Canada to the US when cashing out from Bovada without raising any red flags? Is it $10,000 ???

I put in a cashout on January 4th or 5th and have already had my login fail twice until I contacted bovada, in which they then re enabled my account. So the cashout is still pending.

Would like to see the message they send me next, I am sure they will like to find something wrong.

What is funny, they did not bother closing my account before I made the cashout. nor any time during the last two years or whatever.

but now they do all because I want my winnings. God
