Yes you do. This is common practice in the industry today. KYC laws.

This is rather interesting to me. In a very detailed way as to how I requested my payout, I logged into their site online through their web page (not poker client), went to the 'manage account' tab, and entered the amount I wished to cash out. An email was then sent to my corresponding email notifying me of the transaction (thanks, I appreciate it), and after a 24 hour or so waiting period to get it 'approved', I was notified by email that it was approved and to expect it in close to 10 business days.

Are there maybe other ways one can request a payout, in which you would have to present some sort of ID?? Just curious, I'm not a regular for cashing out but when I have I've always followed the process above and never presented any ID, credit cards, etc.

I did not have to send anything to Bovada to withdraw from my account.

How long have you been with bodog? It is possible that if you have been playing there a long time, you were grandfathered in and might not have had to submit docs. More likely might be that when you first deposited, you provided enough info to make them happy.

I love playing there. They have different buy ins and around the clock games. I have not cashed out there, but am going to do so soon. I also was wondering about their payouts, so thank you for asking. And thank you all who gave info. cat

2nd quoted post is exactly what I was thinking. Nowadays, KYC is practiced by everyone.

I haven't cashed out in a long time, not since Bodog went to Bovada. The checks I get from Merge are drawn on Canadian banks. I just deposit them and keep them covered for a month are so. Why ? I had a couple from Merge bounce two or three years ago, they made them good.

Bovada Payouts

How long does it take to receive a Bovada payout? I've been told that Carbon takes up to 2 months and that Lock takes up to 4 months (if you even get it)? I have withdrawn my money from both seeing that it takes so long to get a check, but I want to make sure that Bovada pays out in a timely manner! Thanks for the help!

I've never had a problem with Bovada or Bodog. Made three withdrawals. I think the longest has been about two weeks.

10 days to 2 weeks on Bovada was average for me. Carbon was a nightmare so I gave up on them since I never received the amount requested...wasted remaining BR there while waiting for the payout and now only play there for CC freerolls. I have given up on both Carbon as well as FullTilt and they can keep what I have on both sites.

I was getting ready to withdraw a little cash from Bovada as well. I've read about people having problems cashing the checks at their banks? Is this just a myth or should I play it safe and take it to Wal-Mart or somewhere like that?
I requested a withdrawal on 3/18 and received it today 4/3.

It states right on the check that it can NOT be cashed only for deposit in the

payees account.

Pretty fast IMO I withdrew from Carbon same day and haven't heard boo frrom

them

I got a big check (>$1K) in 12 real days. They have never failed me. None of their checks ever bounced - unline once an RPM Merge check bounced on me and they had to fix that.

Carbon takes me about 1 week to get, never got anything from Bodog/Bovada so I can't tell you...As for lock I've never deposited there but people have had issues with it so I've never really wanted to deposit on that site (Other than for the CC 500 weekly free roll)

Yes I will jump in and say what others already have.

I have received several checks from Bovada. They all took 10-16 days. They even gave me tracking information to view the shipping progress (last one came from Hong Kong I think). They clear.
