i haven't read anyone's replies so i might be repeating some that have been stated.
The main reason is you can play a game faster on online tables then real live tables.
Another reason is you can sit at home relaxing watching a movie while playing poker but in real live tables you can't do that.
Another good reason is you can play many tables at once, I'm sure we all play at least 2 or more tables.
break time is another reason, i'm not sure if there are breaks in live games unless it's a tournament.

I play online poker because I really like poker and I really like playing at home. I also like online poker because it can earn good money for life, I can play at any time when I have a desire and mood. Online poker is a good opportunity to make money without risk. I also play because I have a lot of free time.

Hi,
At first, it was because the buy ins are smaller online for Cash games and tournaments. Since I love playing Poker several time a week, it was easier in terms of logistics of time and money.
Very recently, I jumped in the streaming train, ditched online cash game and now dedicating my free time to playing online MTT's on top of my weekly job and other crazy projects.
So, yup, that escalated very quickly 🤣

In my country, Uzbekistan (the former republic of the USSR, bordered by Afghanistan) playing cards for money is considered gambling. Prohibited by law, may be arrested and given a term. There is no casino in the country and this is a big minus. There is a question of opening the first casino in the country, but it is unknown whether they will open or not. Therefore, you have to play online poker, making deposits and withdrawing prizes through intermediaries. Officially, there is no electronic money either (webmoney and other settlements) 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣😎😎😎

I play it for recreation. Throughout my poker life I played strictly live and avoided online because there's no face to face. Microstake poker is a weird amount to play for and for me to adjust to. Until I feel like I'm good enough to make more money, I'll just use it as a form of entertainment

in my opinion, some people play online poker to relax and escape from the daily routine and in addition can be earn a little, if possible, while others hone their skills and also earn, if again it turns out, and I personally like this game!!!

Hello friend I always liked games, video games, poker and today my favorite game; I love passion, gambling for pleasure and best of all, I have the chance to someday start , and play in a casino (I like online,because I am playing a game with people from other countries)

If you play Cash Game live, you can definitely take breaks. Either a short one (5-10 mins) or a lunch break (45-60 mins) Those are the rules at the Casino of Montreal. You can also change table once every hour.

I have played on since around 2004. I know longer have the patience to sit through live poker games. I'm spoiled by the fast play. lol

closest casino is like 45 minutes each way, but the main reason is money, I can only go the casino when I have the time and can afford it. For me I need at least 2-3 hundred that I can afford to lose if that happens, also my local casino only run tourneys at certain times and days that never seem to work with me. I love turney style n/l holdem so unfortunately I have been reduced to having to play on club wpt for now. I just went back to work so hopefully my finances will improve and I will be able to hit the casino more often. Its all very frustrating for me though.

At my age it is very relaxing to come home late from work and have a poker table always available in my den. No need to drive 30 to 45 minutes to a local card club. I really enjoy the sites that offer multiple card games like open face chinese poker and badugi for real money.
I do enjoy the feel of the cards and chips in my hands and that is one thing missing in online poker however the pluses outweigh the minuses most times for me.
