What do you prefer - when you play poker: Music or silence ?

I prefer silence, I am satisfied with the complete immersion in the game, but recently I realized that I need to try with music, how it will affect my game, so I'll put an experiment for comparison.

I prefer silence. I focus better this way. Sometimes, when it seems that it is completely quiet and boring, I turn on the music, but it quickly gets boring, and I play again in silence.

When I play poker , I love listening to music. There is only a couple of times , I didn't have music on. Music gets me in the groove, and I don't have to think to much on any decision i make in poker. Never get upset at all, even when I get taking out of tournaments. I really don't care even if the player , shouldn't have been in the hand with the cards they have. Poker is fun and exciting, with my music.

For me I always have some kind of audio going. Music is great to keep me focused and energized. Other times if a poker streamer is live I'll have them on in the background since I'll inevitably learn something, and keeps my mind on the game. Otherwise even sports in the background is nice. Silence just doesn't do it for me.

I really enjoyed all the comments on this thread. I have been wondering lately, if music and/or tv has me TOO distracted. SOmetimes I HAVE to have something or I will want to be in every hand. But I do seem to do better late in the game, when I turn everything off.
