I have been thinking about this question quite a bit lately. Cheating has always been a concern with poker. So whether it is online or in person, one always has to be aware. Could be something simple like bottom dealing, or 3 or 4 people with signals doing a split. Other than checking ip addresses, not much these sites can do. For this reason, I have decided to stay away from cash games and stick with tourneys. This is a recent decision. I don't believe that the rooms themselves are cheating as far as what cards show up, but you can always expect someone out there to try to cheat.

I don’t know think it is rigged. Especially the larger sites like pokerstars. Unheard of sites, maybe they have house players and a way to fix it but still doubtful.

Remember, the odds will even out over time. You see a lot of hands online and will see low odds happen more frequently because of this. In a MTT you will probably see over a hundred hands that go the end so even a 1% chance of happening will mostly likely occur at least once during the tournament. A one outer on the river has a little over 2% chance of happening so you’ll probably see this a few times as well. And since, especially in freerolls people call with nothing but 1-2 outers it will happen.

Many players still insist on saying something of the sort, I agree that there may still be rooms that can handle the game.
But of course you need to know the game, apply a good volume before saying anything of the kind.
Many make multiple wrong decisions during a hand and feel more relieved by transferring that guilt. But really few are assuming that it was a badly played situation or just a game variable.

poker rooms

online poker has been hurt by administrators who become greedy and have the rights to see all hands and do have rights to setup fictitious players. Ones of us who have been around for awhile have experienced that. Well known professionals have been involved.

I live in the US. Since politicians don't seem to get it and poker players associations seem to be turning to deaf political ears, it's gonna be a long time after pros we loved hurt us all until we ever see any progress.

I have no place but online to play. I am a student of the game and love it. I do not play on any site that requires a deposit first, I don't play on sites that do not offer freerolls or you have to make a deposit first. I stay away from jacals and try to stay away from players with a huge more amount of money that others.

Our own professionals have hurt us the most, not the online play. If you think it's crooked, then read some Phil Hellmuth books. They help me. Good luck with your game!

I was thinking some more about this.

While I don’t think the big sites are rigged, I can see how the system can be used to your advantage especially in cash games. Let’s look at an example of how this can easily occur.

Simply join a cash game with a few open spots or start one and have a few friends also join same table. You can chat amongst each other outside the table using Messenger, etc. Now let’s say you are playing a hand at the river with a K high flush. You bet and get reraised all in. You can then check with your friends and one says they had the suited A. Now you know you have the nuts and it’s an easy call whereas you may have folded otherwise.

Many more examples like this. Knowing what cards are now dead can give you a more realistic odds determination and increase your winnings.

I'll start with what any player thinks when he loses his savings. of course, online poker is fake. frequent moving is very annoying. but why does no one say anything when he gets his profit when he moves the best hands of his rivals. as they say, good is quickly forgotten, and only bad is remembered. I've been playing a lot for a long time, and there have been different cases in my story. I've also blamed the damn bots for defeating me with great cards, but I've never thought about how my opponent feels when I win. at this stage, I get a small + to my bankroll (not very big), but still +. now I am completely sure that any poker room that has a huge audience is quite safe, no one will want to lose their customers because of the bad reputation. be disciplined, attentive, careful and you will understand everything.

It does make me think a little bit when I see players winning and folding pretty often and then out of nowhere they call of their whole stack with an obvious 4 outer with one card to come and hit. I guess they were feeling it.

The situation that always hit me where it's going to hurt it's "Bad hands leading to big pots". I spend a lot of time for regain fortitude after every time. Also, I very often have the idea that the RNG at the PS is slightly different from the other rooms in which I played.

I'm pretty sure it's not rigged. There's just too many tables going on at once and the random generator seems to be promising. Bad beats happen live or online it just happens more online because there are more hands being played by the hour. I hope it is not rigged because I'm gonna make a run at being a successful online player and hopefully turn my winnings into some wsop live play. 🤠[emoji812]️[emoji815]️[emoji814]️[emoji813]️

I do not think online poker is safe enough. if I play for big moneys, then I would definitely choose live poker.
There are many occasions when poker rooms create bots to increase their revenues, so I try not to invest much in online poker because I do not trust.

I have played a lot of freerolls and micro stakes tournaments online and the flops created by the random card generator are for action and rake. The small and new sites I don't trust they do everything to make the cash out process as long and complicated as possible some past examples Duck Poker Ball Poker Poker Minds and now currently Breakout Poker.

I am looking on the poker through the maths. The only maths resolves the captioned question - is online poker rigged? The experience knowledge of poker maths determines our beliefs about poker itself.

Many argue that bad beats are not due to rigging and that therefore there is no rigging.
The can be rigging independently of bad beats.
If there is any rigging, it is not necessarilly for the purpose of disadvantaging any player. It makes more sense to think that it is aimed at maximizing revenue for the house. This would be done by influencing the deal to create more action in order to expedite the game. If the game, for example MTTs can be made shorter, more games will be played and the rake revenue will increase.
Of course this would be next to impossible to prove, so it remains just another conspiracy theory.

I'm far from being a professional. But sometimes I turn poker books. Events took place with me, which are almost unreal. I had a better chance of winning the lottery. I think the twist is, in the direction of what would be the strong players won less and, accordingly, money left the room, but remained in circulation. Cantors benefit from this, but I do not know how strong control over their work

I’ve never understood how people could believe that the top poker sites are rigged but then again there are people who believe that the earth is flat, so I guess people will believe what they want regardless of the facts.

I dont think that online poker is rigged cause I believe that math rules are main for online poker nowadays. That poker players what decided that poker is rigged are psychologically unstable and they must read some poker books for proving it.

I can tell you exactly without any possibility of being wrong it is/can be rigged.not all the time and not necessarily by the pokersites either but in almost any way you could imagine.hackers exist and I believe its been proven now that a program exists that let's one see the oppositions hole cards.also possible the designers of the software have a back door key and with block chain tech they can change everything at once to make it fit perfectly.NEVER GIVE UP! as one of the most rigged against people on earth (woe is me lol) I still managed a first out of 2800 odd players in a 7.5k bounty builder but it was very very hard work requiring the utmost concentration and eliminating situations where you may fall victim to any sort of foul play.so yes it is or can be rigged or manipulated for sure but NEVER GIVE UP.the best form of revenge is success and beating a dishonest opponent in any contest only makes the success so much sweeter.gl all and remember to enjoy it even through the hurdles and challenges :):damnmate:

Probably shouldn't say this but I will anyway(god help me) I've played a $5 6 people sit n go down to heads up winning by miles and it went back to 5 players and stacks changed accordingly followed by a series of near unfoldable perfect trap bad beats leaving me out of the money.I've only seen that once in all my years playing so that's not a bad average but I've seen many other tricks that being the most spectacular.doesn't stop me sneaking a good win and cashout now n then though.just makes the success that much sweeter.gl all and don't be discouraged.every dog his its day :)

Again I shouldn't but I will (god help me) when I first started out I played in a $100 freeroll on some cheap dodgy site without deposit and this guy kept winning every hand and although I wasn't affected I got angry as I saw a card change and a couple of other things I'd seen before all profits going to this one player.bout three hours in he pops up again on my table with a stack the size of a mountain and same type things happen.5 minute break I go out for a smoke and I pray..furious with anger"wouldn't it be fair to show everyone that there's a higher power that can knock these cheating so n so,s off their seats.I was watching a sattelite move across the night sky without realising it and right when I said Amen this shooting star flew by what looked like inches from the sattelite and quite positive it would've put it out of commission.well being nearly out and quite inexperienced I went back inside and won my first tournament of over a thousand people (1274) and I swear to you I could sense them slithering away like the snakes they were realising they had been beaten by a higher power than Satan.I tell you truly the sense of the blackness of fear and evil they carried with them was emmense.every word true and exact my friends...NEVER GIVE UP.may gods power and glory shine upon his people and be magnified by them...Amen.:star:

I’ve never understood how people could believe that the top poker sites are rigged but then again there are people who believe that the earth is flat, so I guess people will believe what they want regardless of the facts.
Hmmm heads up 6 player sitngo and it goes back to 5 people....there's your facts now you be the judge.NEVER GIVE UP!

As a possibility, it is clear that it is possible. However, I very much doubt that it will happen. The reason is that the big rooms simply have more to lose than to win from these practices since their profits are constant. It does not make sense that they interfere in their own system to favor or harm certain players and make a profit from it, it just is not profitable. The case that was known in partypoker was of a person who had privileges and decided to use them. Certainly, many people have privileges over these softwares, but they already earn hundreds of thousands and they should also have more to lose than to win. But, an isolated case of a person acting on their own can always happen.

Online poker rigged? common sense

without a doubt", yes it's rigged. just go to any poker site and look at the table games, you will see many tables when you scroll down to the bottom where there is only one player there waiting. most likely a bot, or a house employee there waiting for someone. America's Cardroom was busted for cheating going on, on their site. any time there's money involved, it doesn't matter is it's sports, poker, or the lotto, there is going to be corruption.
but don't just blame your bad beats on poker sites being rigged. they do happen. just like the lotto, you can win and people do every day. but most lose to the organization involved in taking your money.
saying online poker isn't rigged is like saying wrestling on TV is legit.
you can win at it. but don't ever think the house is going to be in paying out more than it's taking...
I love NLH, it's my favorite pass time. I've won 1st place in games with over 1600 people, just took 2nd in a 911 person 10 man freeroll,
you can win at online poker, and if your any good you will, but the house only keeps the payouts per month at a minimum. they are just like any land based casino, they ban players who make to much and say their cheating. that's why most pro poker players are banned from casino's in the first place.but just like land based casino's they do payout but don't think they are any different to cheating more than they are legit. where there is money there will always be corruption. I just don't feel the house cheats every game, but I am about positive they are cheating in some of them. they are in it for the money.
Just keep slot machines in mind. they payout, but always take more than they will ever give. that's any gambling organization.
I hope this helps some people to see the light, but I know some people still believe in the damn Easter bunny.
