Mon ami gabi (in Paris) is the best restaurant on the strip, by far. Cant recommend it highly enough.
Give it a try, and I trust youll feel the same way I do.

We (as a group of friends) stay at the cheapest yet ok or better quality hotels (Luxor,...) we could find online but always play at Venetian. The Poker room is always full and the games are soft.

I have never been to Vegas. I hope someday to get there and play in a big tournament.

The aria is very nice but not sure how you get those room rates, always above $300 every time I check, always go cheap on my room, whatever the best deal that is where I stay, easy enough to get around Vegas to get to any game you are looking for. Just a humble mans opinion.

No doubt every poker player's dream is to go to Las Vegas, and it's no different from me. I have this dream and I hope one day I will be able to do it. And of course, not only to go, but to be able to play big tournaments as well.

Hmm not sure about how that happened, your Golden Nugget review looks fine, might possibly be to do with posts being deleted and post numbers changing, but then that would knock others too, will look into it within the next week or so and get it fixed and up to date.

Yeah Golden Nugget is fine. From Stratosphere down is all linked to someone else, though.

Wow. When I finally have some savings (in like 5 years) and head to Vegas, I'll have to consult this thread.

Any particularly good times of year that Vegas is best? I'm not that into crowds, though I am into special events.

I've been a few times at different times of the year and Vegas never seems to really slow down. Although, I have never been during the wsop and imagine it could be a bit busier during that time.

LOL yeah I guess Vegas never really isn't crowded!

Wow how was the WSOP?? I'd love to go then. But I'd rather be playing than spectating ;)
Hopefully in the next few years I can go. I'd probably be able to go during a summer. But I love the heat so yeah :D

Aria

I would definitely recommend staying at the Aria. The daily tourneys are affordable and fun! Great buffet, beautiful panoramic views from your room and an awesome pool and the Poker action is fantastic. When I stay at the Aria I usually play $2/5 nlh and $5/10nlh.
My favorite restaurant there is Lemongrass which has delicious Thai food and is right next to the Poker room plus they deliver to the table!
Strongly recommend the daily Aria - will be $125 except on Fri-Sun when it is an awesome $240 tournament. She would not need to pre-register but she would need to get there before the 1pm start.

Book the hotel in advance.

Oh dang, that sounds like a winner!

Love Thai food as well. Thanks for the recommendation!
Hopefully it'll still be a great spot in 2-3 years when I have a break lol

I have stayed in balleys and absolutely love it there, didnt really have a favorite place 2 eat during my last stay..
caesers palace is by far the best place to stay i love the blackjack tables in the pussy cat dolls area the woman keep you from playing fast thats for sure. they really need to make there poker room large again pretty sure it was the largest room i ever played in but they changed it and now its not as big.
planet hollywood is also a very nice casino to play at.
when it comes to food i love the flamingo is where i chose to eat breakfast at 80% of the time..

I absolutely loved the Venetian! Bellagio is a must see, I didnt have the best winnings there but the Venetian is wonderfully decorated, has great food and staff and plenty of games for all players.
