Anyone ever satellited into a major Vegas event?

Hiya. I'm Kev from Felixstowe in the UK. This is my 1st post.
I nearly won a Vegas package the other day making it into the final 20 of a top 10 payout awarding 10 Vegas packages worth nearly $40,000 each in the pokerstars Power Path, from a free $0.50 ticket I got from rake back.

Has anyone here won a huge package like this from a freeroll or micro satellite? If so, can you tell us your story? I worked out the odds were about 200,000/1 for where I got to. I made it through 4 tournaments then fell at the final hurdle with AA getting outdrawn🥹

I need to hear someone's success story to lighten my mood🥰

I haven't played in Vegas, but 2020 888Live MADRID is in my heart. Won 1st place PokerNews 888Live MADRID Qualifier (888Poker) and $ 1,600 ticket to Madrid.
The MTT itself takes place in two stages: stage 1 of 4 MTT 1000 participants each went to stage 2 only 9 people and at the end 36 participants played 1 ticket the cost of $ 1,600.



The voucher included $ 1000 + $ 350 + $250 (entrance + accommodation cashless $ + $ cash on the road)

Our very own member Chris Robinson won a Platinum Pass to PSPC last year.
If I recall correctly, it wasn't through a satellite but by another promotion.

Last year I won a satty for a 12.4K package to play in the WPT world championship and had the absolute trip of a lifetime. This year I get to run it back thanks to a cardschat sponsored package, and my wonderful wife for winning it. I'll be starting a new thread for my trip reports shortly. Props to all satellite players who play satellite to big events. I dont have patience for it. Thought of playing well in one tournament just to get a ticket and then get knocked out, then look back and say i spent time playing two tournaments for nothing, doesnt sit well with me. Thats just me. So i give props to satellite players who play where reward is just an entrance. I rather play a tournament and win money to play higher buyin.
I played $100 tournament, won $900, then played $300 tournament, didnt cash, still walked home with $500. Thats my version of satellite. 😂
