What year did you start playing poker? How did you learn to play poker?

I can't remember exactly when I learnt the very basic rules , it was around 2005?!? by some friends of mine, I was just clicking buttons at random.Then I stopped playing entirely for many years and back in 2015 a colleague actually learnt me basic strategy.Hope I become better since then.

Although I think I understand the game I mostly play frees and micros MTTs-multi table SnG with some attempts in bigger - more serious buy ins ~$33 MTTs. Still waiting for a good score!It will come sooner or later

I started playing around 2008 I think... and honestly I don't think that I learned to play poker, I mean I know the rules (from video games) but otherwise I suck

I learned poker watching all of the major tournaments on a local sports channel. Then practiced at pokerstars. Made final table and placed 4th out of 9000+. Played real money and did good.

I like poker as it has skill and luck involved. Strong and tight playing occasional weaker suited and runner cards works for me. Although have seen pocket Aces beat a few times, JJ and higher 'power' hands are always reliable.

If the memory does not fail me ... I think it was in 2011 that I started my first steps in this poker world ... and it all started when I was looking for a sports program on ESPN ... and it turns out that they were broadcasting a tournament of poker ... so I started watching it a few minutes and I started to like this game ... to such an extent that from that day I started to become more interested in poker ... then I began to search the internet poker rules to learn to play it ...!

Remember learning chess and poker at grade 1 or 2 and getting beating regular at chess by my other brother
Played Poker I think was like draw poker and learn the hierarchy of poker .I remember we play for pennies and it was a lot of fun as a kid. Then I learn backgammon and ma Jong were my favorite ones growing up
Then when the internet poker exploded fifteen years ago I started to play online and learn HE and the other games for a few years. Then I quit the playing poker for ten years and now back into poker. There are so many resources online and always a game online. I also play live and basically the only reason why I go to casinos to play is because of poker
