ok i play both and prefer both tourneys and cash games. I don't play them at the same time. I play sessions twice a week of just tourneys and play the rest of the time of my poker on cash. With that said, the higher varience is tourneys. With higher varience, the higher $$ you can potentially win in a day.

In a cash game, you can play 8 - 10 hours and make a steady cash stream if you are working on your game and winning. I like to use cash games as a foundation of my bankroll. I probably wouldn't even play tourneys if it wasn't for me to play cash.

Tournaments can have a lot more return with respect to your buy-in, but I think the general consensus is that cash games are where the most money is made.

If you want to earn money then play cash games. The advantage of cash games is that you can find a table with weaker players, which will allow much faster and easier to make money. And in the same way you can always change the table, if you play with very strong opponents.

I try both and win big in both. But not too much in the internet. I prefer the long run situation ( tourney ) maybe because i'm patient and love to play the game. In cash game everyone open a hand with a AS on is hand . In tourney I fold any unsuited A with a bad kicker in utg for sure.

I like cash games. But for money MTT's are better. In cash game you may seat hour to get and realize good hand and sometimes you will be beated. Not each session will take you money. But in MTT's if you in sill in ITM often you get much more than your buy-in.

I prefer tournaments over cash games.
If you happen to see me at a cash table take a seat because I will most likely be handing out free money!

I like em both. Tourney play you gotta be patient. Cash games you can play a little looser.

Tournaments

I personally like tournaments better, they may take a lot longer to play, but most of the time the prize pools are higher, and you can get a better return on your money.. Different things work for different people, you just got to find your groove.

I respect the cache, but it is necessary to lay down your money, and I'm not so rich. Win of course you can, but you can lose.
Freeroll - risk nothing, so I do it more to their liking

Both can be good to make money. Cash games are good but can have tougher players. In tournaments you have to finish in the top to make good money but it does have some easier players.

You can make money from both modes, but it is best to specialize in what you like best and study hard on it before you start making money.

If we are short on time, there is no question that we are better off playing cash games. Cash games allow us to sit down whenever we want and play as many or as few hands as we like before leaving.
