Surely the stupidest thing I did with my bankroll a few years ago (which led to bankruptcy) was "investing" in spin & go with a buy-in of $ 3 to $ 10. With a bankroll of about $ 150 I started playing this damn game and in less than a week I was broke! Interesting is that I started to analyze and I came to the conclusion that the intuition of the game is this: to deceive you with some higher awards and keep you trapped in a vicious circle where the end is ruin. It all started when I won a 100X prize in the buy in $ 0.25 and from there until toasting all my money was very fast! After this sad incident I decided that I would no longer play this type of game in any software and would only dedicate myself to MTT and SNG. In short: Get away from Spin & Go!

I increased my bankroll from $10 to $97 in 2.5 months and lost $40 in a fastforward cash game in a few hours. I want to get rakeback points for $10. I did it, lol! As a result, I lost $40, and received $10 :(

I was on a site playing heads-up for basically my whole roll--$100 all day.

Ended up even.

But thought "No! I have to make money today!" (Kind of desperate...long story...)

So I jammed twice and lost everything in 2 hands.

Oops.

When I was a freshman in college and didn't know about br management (or any other advanced poker stat), I wasted about $1800 over the semester by constantly depositing $50 and playing 50NLHE cash games tilted until I lost it all smh

Tilted off more than you'd believe

This was on 888
I had a crazy bad session, around 5 buy-ins down at 200NL, but the tilt built up because of how bad the beats were. I jumped into a $25/$50 6-max with $5000 and tilted it off. Of course I got a huge bad beat at 5000NL. I don't remember which positions exactly the players were in, but this is how I lost the hand:

Dealt 66 UTG or MP, Opened to 3x, someone called, and BTN 3-bet to 12x or something high like that. 66 is obviously a fold, especially with someone acting behind me, but I was so tilted I called. So did guy behind me.

flop 567 rainbow or two-tone, I forget. I'm excited as ****. it went check/check, then BTN bets half-pot ish. I called, guy behind me shoves, BTN folds and I call. He shows 89. Cards ran out, board didn't pair, and I lost it.

Don't go crazy kids, just log off and do something else.

Lose a buy-in at microlimit online. Think, I'd better win it back. Lose another one and a half out of my total of 5. Down to half bankroll in one day. Should have spent time to reflect and cool down and not play needy

Mine is waaaaay back when I had no clue what bank roll management is. I'd deposit x amount of money, play a little bit in a ring game, get bored thinking "this is way too slow, I want to win more money, NOW". So I'd jump into a SNG with a stupid high buy-in (I think 25-30% of my deposit or "bankroll") just to loose that SNG and go on full TILT and buy in for another SNG with even higher buy in.
I'm still thinking that I'm not winning money fast enough so I put the rest of my bank roll into a side game of black jack while playing that SNG... I laugh at it now thinking back at my own stupidity and ignorance.

I actually ended up loosing so much that I was risking not being able to pay rent.
And what do you think I did? I put in the same amount of money I had lost, went to the black jack table and put it all in on one go. First hand ends up a draw and my bet is paid back. Heart racing and mind freaking out about what the hell I'm doing I still decide to put it all in for another go and got lucky with a blackjack. I took a step back and it finally dawned on me what I was doing so I withdrew the winnings and decided not to gamble anymore for a long time.

I realize that what makes you lose control of the bankroll, is the anxiety about the result or rewarding in glittering values.

When I really realize that this is not an infinite mathematics, that as long as I live I can play. I will start not to spend more money unnecessarily.

As in this post asks to quote some event, I won almost 150 euros in less than 20 days, playing few tournaments daily.
Even though it was a positive variance that I had never picked up, I ended up losing almost everything in less than two days due to external factors.
I PROMISE, TODAY, FOR MIN AND FOR ALL!

I WILL CONTROL MY BANKROLL !!

try spending 3 hrs to win 100 then lose it on a live bet in 10 sec
This is the story of my poker playing. Ill spend hours to win 100 or 50 dollars then go blow it on cash games. I dont know how i can play so good in the tourneys but cannot win at a cash tabble for the life of me

Trying correct management, should be foolproof but all I got was 4 days of perfectly timed devastating discons ,bad beats and huge delays. It came as no surprise and it's almost impossible for me to stay serious online. When I manage to stay serious and nothing shall we say falls apart haha,it usually pays good dividends. So gutting watching hours of work stolen away every single day, that's what really turns my guts and makes me bitter as all hell.I make enough mistakes without having 3 quarters of my wins stolen away by factors outside the game.

Ran my roll up over $100 from freerolls and micro grinding once - decided during a very tilted mood that I would bypass all the "morons" in the lowest levels and put the rest of my $98 roll into a 100NL game, held my own for a bit, noted a very LAG player - I opened he 3bet shoved on me, I tanked and called off with AQs - he shows up with AKo, board runs out clean AK holds and I blew my entire roll in one hand.

I’ve lost a bankroll in a casino many times — I can’t resist the bad bits — I go to the casino and merge everything!
