I do not drink, and I am still able to blow my entire bankroll, that may have taken me weeks to build up to around $100, in a few hands at too high a limit. I seem to have the patience to play 2-5 cent or 5-10 cent tables and stop when I have doubled my starting stake and build up my bankroll slowly. As soon as I get to $100 or so, I go to the $1-2 tables, and play recklessly because the blinds are so high, I need to win early. I end up chasing with mediocre hands, not hit the flop, and fold my stack away or go all in with nothing.

I was 15 at the time and played cash game on Full Tilt!
I had about $40 that I got through a freeroll in which I had won $2! I was increasing my bankroll gradually and I an uncontrollable tilt night I lost everything...

Sad memories...

Of course you overreacted. I should have played spin and go for 10 bucks. Then you'd have a chance to win something.

I burned my entire bankroll by playing 6max $1.50 just to get to silverstar tier on pokerstars , but hopefully I build it again. Now I have the strictest bankroll management I could have!!

Recently I lost all my bankroll with a tilt and in the end realized that this was what I needed to start taking poker more seriously.

What Bankroll? It's all free casino money :)
The highest I got was 3600$ out of zero (well hours and hours of poker), before I got broke.:puke:
Maybe next time it will be 35.000 or the Jackpot, who knows?
I'm just afraid about loosing THIS money afterwards as well :flute:

When party added black jack it was during a big update. I sat down to play poker but black jack was the only game available during said update. I lost a third of my br. trying to martingale my way to riches. May have been a blessing in disguise as it was a real lesson.

Mine: I had 105$ and tried a 100$ spin and go. The multiplier was 4 and heads up lost with equal stacks allin my pocket tens lost to k7 two sevens on board... However playing a 100$ spin is really stupid when you have only 105. Whats yours?

Wasn't a smart choice indeed what you did:D but i did same mistakes in the past several times:p:D so don't be too pissed off about your choice because we all do this type of mistakes; sometimes we won when we risk a big amount of our bankroll sometimes not. I risked once 100 bucks in one hand and won 500 but that doesn't happen too often:p:D.

Giving the money away to other people right after winning an mtt thinking i can easily win another won the next day. Truth is after winning something big you think it's easy and can easily do this again and just spend those money like crazy. Don't do that

Yes, I also did a silly thing with my bankroll once, I raised the bankroll from 0 to 150 dollars and then started to spin in a Spin-and-go once for 100 and did not win then for 30 and did not win and so I lost the entire bankroll raised from 0, now if I play in the spin, then only 0.25 cents or 1 dollar!

Hi. Mine was to take my poker bankroll where I had been winning, and use it to bet on Sports. I have done this multiple times in the past, and it gets me every time. I'm keeping all my poker funds in one account from now on. No more of that crap lol. Take care, and have a good day

Bankroll management.... what's that???? Lol this has been one of my biggest mistakes in the past, not paying attention to bankroll management at all. I recently put $200 on and was playing at some low 0.10nl cash tables. After hitting 250, I thought I'd make some real money so I sat down at the $1nl cash tables. BOOM up $200 from one tables - $2nl it is! Annnnnd its gone. I have a severe lack of patience when it comes to playing micro stakes after a period of time. I need to either drop more money or learn to be more patient, putting 90% of your bankroll onto a table is never a good idea!

gambling

As a winning poker player, the worst thing that you can do for your bankroll, which I am indeed guilty of, is gamble on any other game available in any casino. Playing slot machines, roulette, or any other table game is always -EV and you will always lose in the long run if you play them. The house always win, so save that money for the poker tables!!!

There are two exceptions to this:
One of course being if you are a good blackjack player and have mastered the art of card counting. This is tricky though as most casinos quickly catch on to what you are doing and stop taking your action.

The other being certain video poker machines that have high payouts. Look for 9/6 on the flush and straight pays. With a bit of study and correct decision making, video poker can be slightly +EV if you play on machines with good odds.

Jam all my money into a cash game...the chance of losing greatly exceeds winning.
