Some players will play any four cards they are dealt, hoping the flop will improve their hand.
Why not play more. positively when playing low hands?
Suppose you are dealt A J 4 10, all off. The flop comes down as 2 J 5 Q. You now have half of the low cards. plus a pair of Jacks, with 16 cards to make the low pot. You know 7 of the 52 cards giving you odds of 1.81 to win.
If you also count the two Jacks to come the odds are 1.5 to 1

Of course, in this type of game, there are more options to collect a strong combination than in hold'em, but still you do not need to draw any two!

If you regularly play A4 as your low, you will end up in a world of hurt.

16 cards to make the low? there are only four 3's in a deck to make low. The other 12 cards that can give you a low will just be chances to lose an all in, not counting if a low card shows up a pair of jacks have a small chance of winning high. I would be hoping for the King, so you would have a straight, and no lo on the board, so one could scoop.

thats a very specific spot you mentioned
you have open ended straight draw and a draw for the wheel
the jacks are no good as whatever the river brings i promise you will make them garbagio
you need a king an ace or a 3
4 kings
4 3s probably only 3
3 aces but lets face it probably only 1 in the deck as your opponents have one too
you have 8 outs
the 6 7 or 8 hitting the river you shouldn't count as winning outs
as you are playing for only half the pot with second best
those are situationally aware outs when you know your opponent doesnt have a decent low.
so dont always count those k
