Has anyone succeeded in building a bankroll from freerolls on PokerStars?

Been playing professionally now for 8 years and I never deposited. Built up my first few bankrolls from freerolls.

Its much tougher these days to do though!

It is tougher because of the higher skill level of players or because of the larger fields, especially on huge poker rooms like Stars?

Many more opportunities to build back then, much bigger and easier games.

last year I registered on 888 and got a few tickets, played in these tournaments, won some seed money and started with this set bankroll. in 2-3 weeks I brought it up to $ 150 playing tournaments with low buy-ins and occasionally making bets on sporting events! all really, you just need not to succumb to passion and play with a cool head

It certainly will take a lot of time and effort to really get somewhere, but I think the potential rewards make it worthwhile. For me the big thing was (and is) controlling tilt. Here's the thing...in a cash game you can just quit if you feel yourself starting to tilt. You can't in a tourney...nevertheless it's way better to sit out a few hands and make some coffee and come back refreshed than blowing off all your stack. GL

Friend, good afternoon. I already managed to earn some money with Freeroll. I still have not been able to manage my Bankroll, I think that administering Bankroll is the most difficult step, where you have to play in the micro, there's no use wanting to play buyn of higher value there is your financial condition. We must be humble and have a foundation, form a good base, be the best in the micros and gradually migrate to higher buyn games.

Beer Store Tourney

Where I live, beer used to be sold only at "The Beer Store". One summer, The Beer Store hosted a series of Freerolls on pokerstars. I was a newbie and did not win anything. BUT, a couple of months later, I got a Thank You email from The Beer Store and a $5.00 credit to my PokerStars account. Over time I built a bankroll but my skills were lacking and I ended up broke.
Now I am getting back into the Freerolls and agree with others that the CardsChat and PokerSchool Leagues are the place to start.

Good Luck.
