I totally agree with Terry! Managed several times to reach 20-40 bucks, and now I am in the zone of 50-70 ... The most important is to find the best games for you to increase further the BR.
I would not recommend cash games for that :D

I agree too.
it doesn't need much to build a roll.
I think when having a few bucks from freerolls the best way is some cheap MT sng's.
When reaching 20-30 dollar you can add some micro cashgame, but only if you feel comfortable playing cashgames.
Still, it's very much possible to start from scratch.

I did not start from the bottom initially, but I had several challenges in which I worked my way up from 2-3 dollar to 60-70 dollar.
Unfortunately have to withdraw over and over again, so basically I pretty often have to start from scratch.

What's interesting for you, is you have a number of posts which, if you stay active in the forum will pretty soon be enough to try to join the CC freeroll club.
That will make you able to play very juicy freerolls every day and all you need is a deep run in one of them to get some ground to build a roll.

These freerolls most of the times have far less then 200 players so making a deep run is very much possible.
Once having gained a few dollars you can add some $0.25 multitable sng's, which are very easy to beat.

Coincidentally, last week had to withdraw about all from Pokerstars.
Yesterday, with only 21 cents left in my account I won the CC freeroll, so now it's already a bit more then $ 20.
With that I will play multitable sng's trying to build a decent roll again.

So, for this thread's sake I'll show you the results, hoping to show you it is indeed possible to build a roll from scratch.

ok, so yesterday I was at $0.21.
Fortunately I won the CC freeroll which already brought me to $20.
just now played a few 180 man 0.50 games and a little 2nl cashgame.
Won a 0.50 SnG 180 man for about 24 dollar, lost a bit in the cashgame so I'm at $42 right now.......not to bad eh....

I posted about this in the building a bankroll from nothing thread, but during the time when you could sell 1M playchips for $10 dollars on top of an amazing freeroll special deal I was able to build up enough money for suitable bankroll. Since I'm a US player I haven't seen PS in many years I couldn't say how feasible it is with the freerolls they have there now. I am currently trying to do it on BetOnline which gives hourly freerolls between 10,25,50 and 100 each.

It is certainly possible but can be a frustrating task at any site.

I have bankrolled one cent so far in freeroll tournaments. Onward and upwards is the only way to go for me.

Hi guys i am playing on pokerstars and play only freerolls obviously because i don't have money. So my question to you who will be how do you succeed building your freeroll from scratch and do you have any advice for me?Please those who not started from the bottom do not comment, thanks.
I'm going to violate your rule here and comment anyway. I usually don't have much money, but I did have a little bit of extra money I earned by doing extra work during the summer. I deposited around $50 on PokerStars, lost some, and eventually won $40, and then lost almost all of it, because I was playing on stakes that were too high for me. Still playing with the little money that remained.

If you don't have any money, then you could start a horse/backer topic. Perhaps someone will back you in return for part of the profit.

I have done it several times in the past, before the "big crash". Like others have mentioned, win a little money, play a small buy in tourney, go from there.
You can also get in the money a few times and play a dollar sng. That might take longer.
I also used to play a lot of play chips, when it was easy to sell them.
I do however have no idea what tourneys they have now, seeing I can't play any of them. They used to have .10 buy in tourneys.
Back when I did it, you had to deposit once before they would let you cash any out. Then I think you had to have a certain amount of fpp's. Before my first cash out, I would sell some chips to my brother and a couple of friends.
It is doable, but very time consuming.

As someone asked you, what Is a BR In your opinion? Is It a dollar amount? Is It (X/Amount of buy-ins)? Exactly how do you define what a BR to you Is would really be helpful In answering your question.

I'd also like to ask you, as someone else also posted, why would you wish to do It on Stars? I mean exactly why that site? Why not a smaller site, with less players In the field that are also "Well respected (In the online poker community), that will pay you your money when you request It".

Now to answer your question In the "How do you build a BR at Stars", well (I play mainly CC Free-rolls), and I've built up numerous BRs In the past (More than once:)), but like others have also stated (I too went busto with those BRs that I've built up:().

Yet what I've always done to help build my BR up quicker Is I've used every means available which CC offers, and than I would take the funds off've those sites (In which I've won the money on through the CC games) and redeposit them onto a site of my liking/choosing.

So for Instance you wish to grow a BR on Stars (Ok/Excellent goal). Once you get your post-count up, you'll be entered Into the "CC Stars games+FRC", those games are $20 for 1st place winner and top 36 cash In them with fields less than 200 players In them, with some luck+Skill+Run good, you could be the winner of the $20:). Now at the same-time as those games are going "CC also holds another free-roll @ another site, later with-In the same-day", I personally choose the sites "I know" but I play all CC games:). So my choice In the ACR games, again small fields+$25 to the winner for these games. Now on ACR you can "Transfer the funds to other CC members In exchange for them transferring you funds to you Stars account", as you can see you're now working towards building your BR @ Stars , In double the time. Couple this with the fact that, CC holds Stars games 7x a week and ACR games 2x a week, you can exponentially grow your BR to the limits that you're hoping for.

That's how I did It but I also used other CC games to make my BR grow even more exponentially than that which I told you about and It was all thanks to CC but to help you understand the 3rd avenue which I'm speaking about, that avenue Isn't really a "No Deposit BR building challenge" as you'd need to "Deposit to be able to par-take In that 3rd avenue".

Yet those 2 routes that I spoke about are the best ways to build a BR on Stars.

Good luck

I managed to win $11 I the Big Bang last night, I now have over $20 from cash games. They are not the best way of building your bankroll, but as long as you have the patience and don't play outside your means, it should be ok

I did it three times, when you earned cash from FR use it for SnG $0.11 or $0.55 then some $0.33 satellites from Bounty Builder! Don't play CG at all cost if you don't want to bust it all out fast.

I have yet to succeed in building a bankroll from free rolls but I did have a break through this month on a new way to do so. I did some more reading and analyzing on my playing style and realized I needed to make more adjustments after I start a tournament and get a good stack built up I need to tighten up my play until the bubble bursts. I am to concentrated on building my stack and it gets me in trouble.

It's not easy to build a BR in pokerstars also in pokerstars the freerolls are limited except if you do their challenges that are all in shoutouts so your chances to built a BR is also limited you got better chances in other sites but I can't say as it would be like I advitise them ... but if you get to build a small BR it's best to play the knockouts as you can buy for 0.55 and if you are lucky you can triple your money without even be in the prices... good luck

You can do it with cardschat freerolls. You can build your bankroll from scratch with their daily freerolls they provide the members.
I personally brought my br to nearly $300 but i got greedy and pokerstars took it back from me hehe. My poor bankroll management is the culprit.
You need to practice good bankroll management when you get real money winnings from freerolls in order to make it last.

Just to ler everyone know. At ACR a after 4 -6 weeks playing freerolls and no depositing anything I received a e-mail with 5 dollars no deposit needed. You just have to play this money in 5 days. Now I'm 9 dollars there.

At BetOnline I won 50 cents and now I'm making effort to build it (today is 70 cents). It's really nice go to something from nothing.

Good luck for all! :)

I would like to know this too, because I didn't manage to do it on Pokerstars. On other sites, yes, but Pokerstars has different play.

At pokerstars except for freerolls cardchat, decent freerolls do not. There are only leagues. In which you need to play at least a month to play something.
