There was fear. Ledad deposit. Prize won. But it still went down the drain. Started playing a freeroll. Won tickets in draws. Won. Used to play for 5.5 11. But don't deposit now. I play freerolls and for tickets.
I don't like loosing money of course but it is very important to only spend 100 th of your poker bankroll on any one tournament. That will go a long way on controlling your fear
Would only play small stakes, bank small wins. freerolls is a good way to keep disciplined. Too much variance in cash, have win tournaments but fare badly in cash games.
I'm playing lowest stakes for now, so I don't have fear of losing money.
And that's the hobby of mine, so if I will lose like 10 dollars once per month, I'm ok with that
I have lost my first bankroll, and now I have reclaimed it, so It's looking good
For some reason, before playing for money, I had a fear, primarily fear of addiction.
Then somehow it went away, but still, I had such a strong prejudice that I didn’t have money to spend on games, especially when I compared that for a pack of cigarettes you give from 6 euros and more every day, it’s normal to spend 50 euros a month on a game that you like, but you can still win!
Absolutely no fear and seldom if any emotion in the game either, that should be the goal. If you have fear during playing then you maybe playing at a level that is uncomfortable for you to play at, possibly make a decision to move down in stakes or find some self help material to point you in the right direction.
I've been in some serious home cash games. The personalities and occupations of the players vary. I have a fear of being beaten by a marginal unskilled player who then believes he is a better player. Overtime he loses his stack but usually to someone other than me.
I'm not later, I can rather fall into tilt I don't have extra money that would be afraid to spend it on poker, so I think it's better to use it to play freerolls, cardchat freerolls best thanks to you
Scared yes, but not of my game. Fear of having a good hand, being in the lead it, and that the opponent puts a cool river and leaves me with nothing. Which is what happens to me most of the time.
I never had a fear of losing money playing Poker, my biggest concern was losing money needlessly On-line! The internet is full of Scammers, all after taking your money from you, and also 20 years ago the connection was and still is a bit dubious at times.
I have had disconnections happen to me at some crucial points in a game, also if you register for a tournament and your connection fail's the poker site still takes your money and sit's you out for the entire game.
That is no problem if it is a free-roll, but buying in for $10 or $20 Dollars, and getting disconnected 3 or 4 times in a week it soon gets exspensive. So that is the reason I always play for fun On-line and leave the serious play for the Live games.
I do not have a fear of playing poker for real money. I hope to win some sometimes and other times I don't win. It is fun to play the game and win money.
I play freeroll if there are some nice possibilities to win some cash. Especially cardschat offers some tourneys the hole week and month. If i win some cash i invest it in real money tourneys. At this i try to make more of it. On tourney i have a positive outcome, but the i loose it on other games like spin and go or kick off.
