I am not afraid, maybe sometimes when I play expensive tournaments I am afraid of losing but before playing, it is a valid feeling, what you should not do is play with fear, being at the tables be clear that you can win and lose So that feeling disappears, it should be fun and enjoy the game, if it does not generate those feelings it is a problem, it would not make sense to play with that feeling:jd4::jd4::jd4::jd4:

No, because I’m gambler by nature. When ever I play I’m putting money that can afford to lose, and I’m playing to win.

Hello! When I first made a deposit, it was not fear, but rather excitement and uncertainty, and then everything returned to normal, fear, uncertainty and excitement will only interfere with your successful game, look at the game not as a profit or loss of a bankroll, but at sports competition and everything will be fine.
Best regards, Sergei.

I won money in a Freeroll and then played with it. I didn't actually invest my money in playing poker. Because I was never afraid if I lost. You can always go back to playing Freeroll.

Hi.
I have never had such fear. I started playing in freerolls and when I won money, only then did I play in buy-in tournaments. Maybe that's why I've never felt such fear.
Good luck.

The only thought was to have fun and multiply them, not to be afraid of them.

I do not feel fear, on the contrary I feel pleasant excitement, euphoria. I think I have nothing to fear, because I only play for the money I can afford to lose.

When my husband first introduced me to online poker, yes I was nervous and afraid. I did not want to lose our money and I was completely new to poker. He helped me to understand the basics. I played very, very tight. I played only at Freerolls or micro. I still only do that right at this moment also because I had been away from poker for a few years and just started up again in the summer. I think doing bank roll management helps lots for fear.

When going to a casino I had a lot of nervous energy. Really hard to sit down as almost sick to my stomach.

I decided to play tournament instead of cash at the casino, which I thought would be easier. My hands were really shaking!

When I got home from Vegas I started a home game with friends to overcome the shakes and nervousness. I also started going to bar poker.

Now, I am not with the same shaky nerves, but always when I play I have a small nervousness as I am excited to play and want to play my best.

I think this is because they threw money on a poker site that they could not afford and want to increase it, and this is the fear of losing them, those that can not be lost)

I agree with you, if you play for money that you can lose, there is no fear.

Played an absolute ton of "play money" hands on partypoker like 20 years ago.

Definitely a good idea to get comfortable playing before bringing money into the equation.

Set strict limits and follow bankroll management and you'll be fine.

Good luck! :D

Just put in what you can afford to lose and you will be fine. If you do not have such money, then wait until you get to that point.

If you play for money you can afford to lose then the emotional pressure is much less.

IT always becomes different when you start risking your own money being it just a few cents or much more. My medium step helping me to overcome this were the freerolls. When you play real money MTTs with money won from freeroll you are calm as these money were practically free for you. At later stage i started playing more and more real money MTTs and less freerolls and this helped me to finalize the switch from play money to full real money experience.

I never had this fear. I started playing play money poker because I didn’t knew that real money poker exist. But when I discover my first poker room, I never played play money anymore.
