I'm not actually concern about how much money did I lose today. Of course I hate to lose but the lesson is did I learn today? I'm more concern about how I played the hand, did I get better? Did I do the right thing? Was I making the right call? How can I get better? So that the next time I play I'm confident and profitable.

Fear

I did and still do get butterflies in my stomach when heading into the cardroom. The longer I've been away the worst it is. The only thing that helps me is to play everyday.

You just have to play more (but wisely) and the fear passes. Now I can expect something similar except in tournaments with high buy-ins, which I do not like bankroll.

I like this question.

For me it's a strange phenomenon. I play casino games like slots.

When I play slots, it's easy just to push the button and no fear of losing money.

When I am at a table playing poker, I hesitate to put money in the pot.

You should only play with money you have left, so that's not a big deal when you losing it.

Fear of losing money, yes, but over time I learned a very important thing and knowing how to leave at the right time, even if your game is good and a great maturity for a poker player

Both then and now, I do not feel fear. I believe that disciplined players simply have nothing to fear. The game gives me pleasure, and I think that's the main thing.

no ... there was no fear. the first gambling was more of a joy, there was some adrenaline rush and I enjoyed it. Even though I lost those cents. I don't even know how to describe the feeling that I felt during that game. I hope you understand what I mean

When I first replenished my account, at first there was a fear of losing all the money, but over time it became indifferent to this. The main thing is to play at the limits that your financial situation allows you to.

My game was too scared at first. The more you play, the sooner you get used to bad beats and A game comes gradually by itself.

At the beginning there is that extreme, extreme anxiety and I play just 1 table. But as hands go by, I get relaxed and the life goes on :)

My first experiences with poker began with a home game at a friend's house. We play every week (but not since the pandemic started). The stakes were small with a buy-in of only $20. I was nervous to learn poker and did not want to lose my money. I am very tight with my hard-earned cash.
While I had no problem playing slots in a casino, I was afraid to sit at a poker table. My friend took me to a casino poker room for my first experience, about one year after I started playing in his home game.
Yes, I was nervous and had trouble controlling my shaky hands and knees. It took me a good 20-30 minutes to settle my nerves.
Since then, I have played live home and casino games and online. I am still nervous about putting my money on the line, but I feel confident in my game and understand that variance plays a role in what happens to my money on any given day.

I have less fear online in real money games than in person. I do not have a good poker face, but I play well online. COVID masks are helpful.

In my opinion, if the person is playing scared because of the money, a lot is due to the amount invested in the tournament, the solution is to play cheaper, in an amount that the player feels comfortable with.

When I first started playing poker, I was not afraid. Rather, there was a great desire to make more money.

I have never been afraid of losing money in any game I have tried, because of one simple fact, I take what I want to lose to the table, nothing more, If I buy-in I only buy-in for what I am comfortable with losing.
I used to run a bar many years ago and every Saturday when most of the Pubs closed at 3.00 in the Afternoon, we were open until 5.00 because we were a club and licensed differently, I would shout last orders at around 4.50, serve until 5.00 then pull the shutters down on the bar for two hours, sounds strange today, but that was the Law!
I then took £20 out of my wallet and would sit into a game of three card brag leaving my wallet locked behind the bar, Once that £20 was gone I would leave the game satisfied that I had played my best, but more often or not I would walk away with £100 Plus, main reason was the lads I was playing against had been drinking all afternoon enjoying themselves, and because I was working I hadn't touched a drop of beer, so I was in full control of my faculties and could get an easy read on most of the players.
It was a little like "taking candy from Babies" but if I didn't do it someone else would.
Playing drunk is always a big mistake, but playing drunk against a sober player is like signing your own death warrant, you might as well just open your wallet and say "Here take what you want"

When the fun Stops, STOP!
