If you are not playing at your maximum, it is better to take a break. Do something enjoyable and come back when you want to play.

you must choose a time in which you are going to dedicate to poker without affecting your daily life, it is in the end like any other job, it will depend on how many hours you want to dedicate to it per day and that's it.

feel like you can become addicted to anything but it's just based on how much self control you have

Of course, you can become addicted to poker, but there are a lot of cases when people lost entire fortunes in casinos, playing different games, including poker. You can become addicted to anything, let alone any game, it’s as easy as shelling pears.

if poker is your hobby, then try to distract yourself with something else - maybe sports betting, and whatever you like

I went through this experience a long time ago. Today, poker becomes like a job for me and sometimes I lose the desire to start a poker session.

I think that poker should not be considered as a gambling game but as a job. When you start playing, you just have to make the right decisions, that's all.

In my opinion:If it is an addiction there is only one person that can quit for you and that is you.

If poker is not your main income, you can completely rest for a while. You can lower the buy-in level to relax more, review previous decisions in a tournament. If it is your main income, you need to be more careful to ensure a long-term path. You can quit any addiction
