Hello everyone. I agree with the opinions of everyone who has spoken on this issue. My friend, rest is necessary, and how long it will be is up to you to decide. Indeed, forget about the game for a couple of days, then read some theory (books or articles) and I think time will tell you when to return to the game.

A little break can be good for the head. After that, you can play with a clear head.

If you really look forward to specific games and are really gutted when you miss them. That can be counted as habitual but its not bad.
It only really becomes bad if you start spending all of your time playing it and not doing the things you should be doing, or spending more than you really can afford on it. That is when it becomes a problem.

A break can be good to your head you must focus on your own health first and try later.
If you dont feel you can try to search for profesional help.

See perspective below.

Everybody has own ratio between need of certainty and need of uncertainty.

People jump from airplane, dive in caves, believe in social security systems (IMO most risky).
Play poker.
Because of they need of uncertainty.

Our minds don't like emptiness. If somebody was playing poker for a while and stopped, probably also found different way to fulfill need of uncertainty.

It's not bad or good we have the need of uncertainty. It is what it is.

I truly believe we shouldn't fight with our habits. Rather use 'em to improve our lifes.

You improved decision making? Excellent! Find area in your life you can be better thanks to.
You have emotions under control better than year ago? Perfect! Use your internal force as opportunity to raise relationships in on higher level.

Sky is the limit.

Ask yourself. How can I make significant positive impact on my life playing poker? How all of this supports my goals?

Ugly word addicted. I tend to put it in the “heavily influenced by mainstream” category. Why not the word hobbie or something

If I won every day I would become addicted, but since it is impossible to win every day it would be impossible for me to be addicted to poker.

In this life, a person can become addicted to absolutely everything: alcohol, smoking, people, and poker as well. And it’s not about poker, it’s about the person himself, in order to get rid of addiction, a person needs to understand himself and his inner world. Everything that happens in real life is the result of a person’s inner world. If a person has character and willpower, then overcoming any addiction will not be difficult. And if this is not the case, then first a person needs to cultivate this in himself.

I can totally relate to where you're coming from. Poker can be super engaging, and sometimes it's hard to take a step back. I've been there too. Taking a break might help you gain some clarity. Give it a shot, and you'll figure out what's best for you in the long run. Also, you could try less risky gambling, like sports betting at this platform. Good luck!

Yes, poker releases a large amount of dopamine so it can be addictive, you need to know how to manage this, otherwise you end up playing and depositing on impulse to fill your personal problems, the result of this is that you play impulsively and end up having more losses and creating a another problem, which is financial.

If you are addicted to poker it tells more about you than poker itself, probably it is a escape for you like any other addiction.

Ofcourse you can get addicted, and if youre feeling like that is happening to you at this moment, I best reccomwnd immediately putting sown poker for a good amount of time. Atleast a couple of weeks.

Every free time I play poker it's like a habit so there's nothing to change in my free time.

You can get addicted and that can cause a big problem, sometimes it's good to stop and do something else, getting out of the bubble is good for the mind.

In my opinion, yes. If you lose control of playing, just do that, keep losing and desperately try to recover some money, without organizing yourself, for example, studying the game, resting when necessary and knowing how to play your buy in limits, you can be come addicted of course.

I have no addiction to poker . 3-4 times I had tilt extreme because of which I lost my bankroll , little money , some hundreds of dollars, no problem , but the main reason for these tilt outbursts was casino slots. Sometimes I play slots whole I play poker . Slots can drive me crazy . Not poker. Now I stopped playing casino . Slots are very fixed to lose , worse than poker RNG ...

a person can become addicted to many things, but poker itself is neither bad nor good, because there are many people and many opinions

Of course you can get addicted to poker the same way you can get addicted to smoking, drinking, drugs etc.
If you have an addictive personality of course you can but that is not poker's fault.

I don't know if it's addictive but since I started playing poker I'm thinking about playing poker. It excites me. It's my passion. Whatever it is, I love the game. One day I will be recognized by all the players in the world.
