LIVE PLAY
Hi everyone,
My view is that
online poker is largely
quite a negative thing. Or too much of it, judging by this forum many of us invest a lot of hours sat next to our computers.
My opinion is that there is an incredibly easy way of transforming your passion into something much more positive and fulfilling.
PLAY LIVE. This way you get to interact make new friends and also discuss poker strategies with people in person conversation is more dynamic and pushes your brain a lot harder to learn and improve.
All the best poker players in the world play live and do so predominantly for all their poker,
Phil Ivey, Negreanu, Helmuth. Even the great online players make sure they have a healthy balance of live and online play. Some hardly play online and they are the highest earning players of all time.
I have no factual basis for this but, as a hunch I would say the true and best way to
Learn poker is by playing live!!
And also playing online you miss all the camaraderie and there are a mountain of dickheads and trolls trying to rile you up online which you do not get with real-life people. At least if you get knocked out of a live tourny you don't feel depressed as you still got something out of it
a great night out and spending time with some good people.
It will also improve your social skills, confidence etc if you have a compulsive/ problematic habitual gambling issue. The compulsive gambling/poker can actually be a way of avoiding putting off life-commitments such as relationships, family and long term problems.
What do you guys think about this? Look forward to hearing from you
