Why did you choose poker?

I have always liked card games, and have had a lot of different sports. Poker gives
me positive energy, and it's interesting to see if my game strategy is the right one.​

My biggest passion before poker was movies, and while I’m still passionate about them, some of my personal beliefs make it hard to align with a lot of art sometimes. I grapple a lot with impermanence, and art just draws attention to the everlasting or lack thereof. Poker on the other hand is absolutely a pleasure of the present. It doesn’t matter what happens tomorrow, next year, or in a thousand years. When I’m in a poker hand, it feels important to me.

why did I choose poker?

I am retired. I had a challenging career in management. I chose poker because I enjoy the challenges. The game helps keep my mind active and also keeps me from getting bored. I play freerolls and if I win anything, I feel accomplished. My major goal each time is to finish in the top quarter and is not the money. I have read too many stories of how guys don't make a lot on the tour once expenses are deducted. Not to say that is right, but it seems different folks are now finishing in the top of wsop. If anything, my biggest dream would be to win a trip and ticket to the WSOP. Thank you for asking and good luck with your poker career!
