If you have a good run and win a tournament or cash. Then be ready for the downswing to come right away and you will lose almost every hand.

My rule of thumb is that if I win something I cash out 80-90% and leave the rest to play.

Personally, I don't have the time or ability to play all day every day and play with upswing and downswing. I don't have the head for it and I don't have the time, that's why when I win something I prefer to withdraw and buy myself something or take my wife out to a restaurant.

I have the same problem. I win money freerolls,sit&go,and MTT tournaments,then I risk all of these the same tournaments and I lose.One or two tmes happened that I won 400$,but I risk all of this by betting football.and I lost all of it.

You lose because you risk too much. You win because you risk too much. Only responsible, disciplined and consistent players can have good results in the long run. In my opinion, your question should be reformulated, roughly like this: "What is bankroll management and how to use it."

It's variance. I was having also this problem, but I realize that when I'm winning I am on an upswing and at some moment the downswing is coming. When players are on downswing, in general they are playing worse, tilted and this costs more money. In order to sustain the downswing you need to keep a healthy bankroll and go down in stakes.

Everyone needs discipline but it is true that a good bet can always lose so avoiding killing off your bankroll by tilting after a bad beat is hard.

I also had such a problem. I repeatedly won money, and after a day or two I repeatedly lost it. All because I did not follow bankroll management. Now I follow bankroll management, I win much less, but the advantage is that I actually stopped losing money.

bankroll management can help this issue and compress after a win try not to jump in to another tourney after having success if your not a daily grinder and more of a hobby player. dont get caught up in chasing after loosing a small portion of your winnings. time is on your side

I only advise you to build a bank with discipline. If you have $10, you can only play at minimum limits and you cannot spend $10 in a day if you are at those limits! There are days of winning and days of losing, days where what you play you lose, just as there are days where what you play you win! My advice is that if you win $30, withdraw $25 and leave the rest to play, if you lose it, start banking again with freerolls!

Maybe you are playing too expensive tournaments,if you won a few bucks try to play lower buy ins and multiply your bankroll
