LET'S GO! TALK TO US :)

The biggest surprise I had when knowing poker, was the news that players arcaba with their own expenses and could generate a profession this beautiful game

I believe it is not very easy to start in today's times, but nothing is impossible.
It is important that we fight and have perseverance!

AND YOU?[emoji23]
Well I noticed that when you sit down to a tournament you become the CEO of a company called Starting Stack. Throughout the the whole tournament, you are the boss of that company and every decision you make decides whether or not your company is successful at the end. GOOD LUCK[emoji57]

Most of all, I was surprised by the fact that the victory goes to all types of players, even donkeys who just bluff and they somehow fall into prizes.

After learning how to play from poker books, you start off playing way too tight in live poker. Loosen up and have some fun, let some draws hit, especially if it's the nut draw.

What struck me when I first started poker is that there are lots of crazy people in the world!

I come from a video game background where the best players are dictated by skill. In poker, I've seen crazy things like someone calling an all in shove on the flop with under 5% equity! :D:D:D

what struck me the most was how hard it was to make money. I struggled in the beginning. Even when i had done all the lessons, i was struggling. It's a lot easier now that i have experience behind me.

Hardest part for me was adjusting to online play vs live play. Whole different strategy. But your right, perseverance and patience lol

40 years of schooling

What I find interesting is no matter how much you play and win or lose, you never stop learning from your mistakes. It's like I once heard someone say "I've forgotten more than you know about this game."

Just today I schooled myself again. I was sitting pretty in a Venom Step #2 waiting for 8 more people to be sent to the rails, when I'm in the big blind with :qc4::qs4: everyone is pretty much folding waiting for the bubble when the Button player raises a min bet to $1200, he only has $3400 behind him meaning I have $2900 more than him.

Now, There are maybe 2 correct moves, as picking up a few more chips would help make sure I reach the payout. the correct move would have been fold the Queens, as no matter what comes on the flop (Save a Queen) I could already be behind in this race at this time or second best to flat call then on the flop, which came as :5h4::8s4::3c4: either go All-in or Check to hope for a bet to go over the top after their play with a continuation bet.

I, :stupido2:planning to force a fold, go over the top pre-flop All-in figuring for a fold from the lower stack to avoid the bubble. Well, the villain calls for all his chips with :ks4::10s4: the turn card hits the:kd4: the river was a blank and now I'm sucking hind tit waiting for a made hand and the blinds on the way. it goes around twice before I'm forced to play weak holdings or risk being blinded out on the bubble. I lose the hand and I'm walking to the rail bubbling an event I should have advanced in. Waaaa:bawling::mad: Waaaa, LOL

The All-in move at that point was the completely Wrong Play and that's what I pick.

Live and learn. Again.

Unfortunately players like that will push all in if you didn't anyway especially with such low flop. That's the one thing I don't like about online it's computer dealing cards and anything can happen. Been rivered so many times myself and bubbled quite a few tourneys when I should have placed much higher, all because of chasing donkeys.

Yes, your right I must say that is the one downfall of online play. Too many people play like they are 13-year-olds. What really causes havoc is the blind squirrel effect, no matter what kind of read you get from the small amount of information gathered reading online players is considerably harder than sitting at the table watching everything that's going on while they play the game.

I originally started texas hold'em online, although I'd been playing poker for many years prior as a kid and during my military service. So after the crash from our ding dong government, I switched to live play. I found it so much easier in person to compile the information I needed getting far more info from reads in person.

After my service, I tried a number of different jobs becoming a salesman after being trained and over the years turning into a Master Sales training professional and undisputedly one of the Greatest direct sale persons in the Universe, I found that the psychology of poker reading and sales run together pretty nicely. As always tho, you can never be 100% correct.

It wasn't when I just started, it was a few months in, that's why it struck me.. I thought only a Royal flush beats quads, didn't realize it was any straight flush..

Here in brazil, poker is still a sport of people with more money, the main clubs are in the best neighborhoods of the city. What impressed me when I went the first time in a club was to see that money of the rich uncles waiting for a owner

My main surprise was how complex the game really is and how many things you need to consider to take correct decision. In the beginning you think that it is simple - you either hit good combination or not. when you start learning a whole universe of factors opens up.

When I first came into poker , I started to realize that I would have to focus more on my game. Wouldn't be able to just hop on a table a win a million bucks. That hands I thought were super strong were at best mediocre.

what hit me the most when I started playing poker ... was the adrenaline that you feel when you're playing a spot ... and the ability to learn to read your opponents to such an extent that you can win a hand without having nothing...

The steaks of variance you can experience and have to play through without tilting. It’s still the hardest thing for me to do
