Invest them in micro mtt's as experience increases. Even if you lose some cash, the experience will result in fewer mistakes in the future. And if you lose all cash, well, there are still 'bingo' freerolls to rebuild your bankroll ;) good luck

Cash games or also sngs . Tourneys are for bigger bankroll and better skills , they demand a lot of time , not only bankroll money

If your only comparing MTT versus Cashgame I would say the most profitable for you could be either of them, the one that you play your best game and enjoy the format the most.
BUT...
With a small bankroll I would personally suggest you STAY AWAY from Cashgames, you could lose half your bankroll in a few days.
For small bankrolls I suggest Sit'n'Go. They have a high ROI (Return of Investment).
And you never know, if you win a MTT you could multiply your Bankroll in like 100x times easily

That's exactly what happened to me. I had a $20 dollars bankroll. I'v managed to get to FT in a freeroll MTT New Years Series Event from pokerstars. I'v won 700 bucks, multiplying my bankroll around 35 times.
And then that made my confidence go up and I start winning more small MTT's such as standard $1.10 which pays $135, so it's a nice boost in your bankroll aswell.

To sum up...

Stay away from cashgames with a small bankroll
Play micro-stakes MTT with a buy-in around 1% of your bankroll, for example. (if you got 100 dollars in your bankroll, your maximum buy-in should be around $1 dollar.
And play Sit'n'Go! They are very profitable.

Good luck!

freerolls are needed to gain experience and create bankroll, you won't be able to earn on freerolls, you need to play MTT AND PLAY A LOT TO EARN SOMETHING

it is more profitable for me to play tournaments. I don’t worry about money. I consider the game through my stack. So I advise you to play tournaments, you will win more and lose less.

Cash games ! because in a tournement u could be playing perfectly .. executing every move right and reading ur opponents and everything ! and yet 1 bad beat would eliminate you from the tournement and u end up getting nothing ! but lets say thats happening in a cash game .. one bad beat would be just one .. and then u can continue ur domination at the table and profit from it. And if it aint ur night and ur having bad luck u can just quit and come the next day

The most profitable thing for me is to play tournaments. Since playing cash can be profitable one day and the other is all loss.
