I was around twelve years old when my parents taught me the game. We used to play Saturday nights before Gunsmoke came on the television at 10pm, and the games were: Five Card Draw, Five Card Stud, Seven Card Stud (Which my father called Seven Toed Pete because that is what they called it in Texas, where he served during World War II.)

Hi. How are you all? I started playing at 15 years of age in high school ... Then 29 years I knew online poker and I started even though I'm still bad ... Hehehehe but I really like poker

I was six years old when I first started playing poker. I received a video game system for Christmas and one of the games that came with it was a poker and blackjack game. Of course there was blackjack, but there was also 5 card draw and 5 and 7 card stud. When my father saw me playing badly, utilizing poor, if any, strategy, he started giving me pointers. When I followed his advice, I did much better than when I didn't. To this day, my whole poker game is still based on that initial advice I received from my father all those years ago.

This topic brings back memories , I've played different card games since I was really really young(I can't give the exact age but for sure from kindergarten and the 5 card draw poker game and blackjack were the most popular ones), in college I've started playing Texas Holdem with friends when the game became popular in my country(2004-2005) and quite a few years later most of us are still enjoying the game and we still have our homegames whenever we can(less often nowadays because of covid19...)

I actually started playing at the age of 44 last year. But since I was a teenager I know the game and I admire it. I think Poker is the King of card games, because just like Chess, knowing the rules of the game is quite different from knowing how to play. Poker is a game that involves math and psychology!

i remember playing poker when i was 15 didnt have a clue how to play
i dont recall much of that game , but i do recall some1 saying i cheated saying i had a hand that i didnt , but turned out i was correct and took down the pot - but they still called me a cheater , some ppl hate to lose i guess , anyways i was a kid and they were adults and new more then me about the game
