On-line my preference would be short SnG table over a cash game. Playing live however, cash table is preferred over a tournament. More of a tournament playing than a cash game player in general.

I like tournaments more, they need to develop a special strategy of Irga, it is not like in cash games, for me cash game is just a game for money, and I love to take prizes in tournaments.

Whatever you’re more profitable or comfortable with playing. Even if you’re unprofitable it’s whatever game you like more or are willing to study. Things do overlap but there are masters of their trade.

In my opinion is more fun play a poker tournament because you need to do more moves than in cash and you can play only yours "strongs" hands, because the cash games doesn't have ante for example.

I prefer tournaments because I find I don't spend as much money that way. You can also win bigger amounts for a smaller investment.

I prefer cash games, because I can quit if I do not feel like playing or if I am not plaing good. You do not have that luxury in mtts. The bubble burst after few hours and that is where there real game starts. Prizes are very top heavy and you can be sitting at the computer for half a day to walk away with nothing... I am trying to get into mtts lately, but it is a totally different game.

There is an opinion that the cash game is more difficult than tournaments and the cash player will win the player in mtt, so much depends on your poker skills.
There are pros and cons in this matter, the dispersion in the cache game is minimized and losing one all-in will not affect your completion. In the tournament, any coin will knock you out of the game. And in order to get a big prize you need to take a very high place. In addition, playing cash, you can choose your opponents, while avoiding strong regulars. In the end, it all comes down to how much time you have for the game, you can play cash for no more than 3 hours and make a profit, for mtt you need more than 8 hours every day.

What do you think about it?
for me both games are normal and good, when I have good tournaments that I like and I have free time, I can run 1-2 tournaments and play and try to get prizes and win, and when there are no suitable tournaments for me and I have a small amount of free time, I play cash games, but I would say that a cash game is better because you can win a normal amount of money in a short time

It is very difficult for me to compare these two poker disciplines as I hardly played cash games because I’m not very interested in them, but I play a lot of tournaments and I like them !!! I love poker and I want to get pleasure from playing poker !!!

The answer is simple, the fact that you get better whether it's tournaments MTT, cash, spin&go, sit$go and so on. The main factor for me is how much time you are willing to spend.

MTT’s are high risk but high reward. If you’re looking for a quick fix on gratification, cash games are the way to go.

it is a question of each one ... from the perspective, in my humble opinion, I do not get much attention from the cash tables, I am rather from the MTT, I find it more attractive

I think it probably all depends on which gametype you as a player enjoy the most as well. Whichever that ends up being, you're more likely to put more time, effort and enjoyment into progressing in that field.

👍

youve probably heard that MTT players are alot worse. that doesnt make MTT's easier tho it just means that begginners usually play MTT's because its more exciting. personally i prefer MTT and i think its actually harder because theres alot of strategys that always change depending what stage the tournament is in and your stack size. Cash games are difficult because you usually have people that have their strategies down and know exactly what theyre doing. it really just comes down to what you prefer.

Yep, most recreational players play just few MTTs a week on certain day they have time... I find even Sunday Storm softer than 2$ zoom cash..

Hi.
Usually, I prefer tournaments. In my opinion, cash games are more difficult than tournaments. In addition, in cash games, I usually lose.
Good luck.

This question is very difficult to answer. On this subject, you can write a book, and I think that not one. But the authors of such a book can only be professionals and regulars of high limits who have passed all the limits from lower to higher. And we often focus on the generally accepted postulate that tournaments are simpler than cash games.
One thing is clear to me that both varieties of the game need to learn, and it takes a lot of time to win.

Respect for cash game players , some of them are really extremelly skilled .
I know some tournament players are bad at cash games and vice versa , the reasons are known .

I prefer tournaments , this excitement when you build a stack , when you are officially ITM , cannot be described or compared with the cash games for me , even with the ZOOM games which I like and enjoy . MTTs might last long , but if you play many and if you have sth else so as not to get bored (as long as it doesn't distracts you ) such as a live stream , music , maybe watch videos ??etc then you have a very good time , and when I am in the money , I feel awesome :)

You just need to play both games and understand, which game is better for you and where you can make more money.

Online Cash vs MTT's

Few month's I am trying to combine practice MTT's and Cash games at micro stakes and what I figured out, how it looks for me:

1) Cash games - All money are into hunting.
Zoom tables = almost always a hand vs Regular or random player. Redline war vs reg, and unknown game vs unknown player, so required strong game.
Regular tables = best, but require hard select.
2) MTT's = the % of bad players compared to Cash alot bigger into MTT's. For sure. Also the schedule with 5 min break every hour goes very good, hour by hour. Requires also very solid game and notes on opponents, so, can't play more then 6 tables to catch everything and note.
So right now I am playing MTT's with low volume(4-5 tables at once), when less tables adding NLH/PLO2, and if games are going slow = always looking Dota2, League of Legends, or other Poker Streams on twitch.

Add your thoughts, what is your schedule and how it's going?!

Hello. At the moment I am playing only mtsng 45max. The advantage of these tournaments is that they go about 2 hours and have a small number of participants, accordingly i can write a note on the players.
A little later, I want to start playing satellites in the form of tournaments and try play in big mtt.
