2 days in and you're already slacking? This challenge could get expensive Chis.

I already hate myself for messing the second day up, so I have a good feeling for the days and weeks to come. Won't happen again, I think. Must. Become. Balla. Off to the tables.

I thought at first that it would be all in EV that you could compare to your actual winnings in all in pots, like in pokerEV, but hem doesn't show any all in winnings, only showdown/nsd/total, none of which we can compare practically at all.

So how the hell can they possibly calculate my overall EV?

I'm pretty sure its all in EV, you luckbox :p!

Like PokerEV did all-in ev. HEM's ev line is simply:

total winnings + (all-in winnings - all-in ev).

Note: This is in no way indicative of the impending result and for the love of crimminy it's not a rail request but it's a pretty screenshot I may look at to make me happy.

3 way all in with KK overcards on 2nd hand versus two flush draws, followed by flopped two pair v TPTK :)

I will now commence losing it all but wished to capture the moment.

Its taken a few days to recoup my losses and I did make silver, not gold as originally stated(I misspoke). If I stick to the plan hopefully gold in the next month or two. :)

Well then why do we compare that all in EV line to our total winnings? Total winnings factor in much more than our all-in plays.

umm, the difference between the 2 is how well you run in all-in pots. It's not possible to quantify other luck (ie you get flush over flush, how much should you lose ev-wise?). Sklansky bucks tries but fails due to not having complete information (ie whether the hand is shown down or not has to do with the cards that fall, so using the cards that fall ONLY in showdown pots doesn't work). The all-in ev line is simply how much money you would have won if there were no luck in poker when all the money was in. If whenever you got all-in AA vs. KK you simply took 80% of the chips out and they got 20%, you would have won as much money as the all-in ev line shows.

Of course there's other luck in poker, but until you can come up with a way to quantify it, the only luck we can quantify is all-in luck.

Says the HU player???

Of course I guess if your winrate is like 25 BB/100, even if you do have a higher variance, you'll still have less downswings. Well not really, but your downswings are when you simply win less than usual.

Brain fart, I get it now :)

I thought the line represented only all in EV, not AIEV + total winnings.

50nl being the lowest possible stakes helps a lot with winrate aswell, since its where new players have to learn :)
