For me, this vision is subjective. In general, poker is not as stressful as some people may think. But hey, it depends on each one, you have to be ready for everything that happens.
I think a lot of this has to do with what you put on the line. If you're risking money that you maybe shouldn't be risking, then it can feel pretty stressful. If you don't care about the money, maybe another stressor comes from unreasonable expectations of winning in the sense that your ego is on the line. The game itself isn't stressful.
everything is relative, if we consider poker as a kind of salary supplement, then there is no easy money in life, it's either nervous work or physical labor
If it's super stressful; even more so when you come from losing a good pot with excellent cards and the next hands, nothing good comes to you and you're looking for a way to get into the action but at a disadvantage and that stresses you out and hurts you in the long run... Patience and distraction outside the game, I think is the main thing to attack that stress.
If you have the right approach it shouldn't be. I mean learn the game, develop a strategy, change your strategy when it doesn't work anymore and manage your BR... And learn from your mistakes... Do all these and the stress will go away.
Hi
It is not stressful, but when bad luck will accompany you for a long time, you will feel angry and bored, and you will say I will stop playing, but if you are an old player and a lover of poker, you can only stop for a few days until you regain your focus and calmness.
Of course poker can be stressfull, specially when you lose a "winning hand". Is very important to keep your emotions in line, refresh your head sometimes, then start playing again.
Absolutely stressful when you cannot get your game going just like anything else. Re- think strategy and keep improving skills to get back on the right track.
if you're at a high level of play, I think tournaments don't put any pressure if you're not new or play high limits although you used to play small limits then there will be stress and anxiety
Yes, it's stressful. It all depends on what type of poker you want to play, if it's social there's no need to stress so much, at least I think so, now if you want to be professional that's another level
