Also because most religious people know nothing about their holy book . They cherry pick some positive phrases from the bible and the rest gets ignored.

I don't judge , just observation

Nothing new from my talks with "religious atheists."

They always say "I'm not judging" while giving the most self righteous lecture ever about how christians behave.

The religious part is not really the problem.

Just a heads up, giving a lecture about someone's else country's history sounds very pretentious. And most of the time you sound VERY ignorant cause chances are you don't know what you are talking about.

portugal brought Catholicism and I'm protestant. So no, I'm not a protestant because brazil was colonized by Portugal.

You probably don't know these but Brazil has also african religions (Candomble) and immigrants from Asia who practice Buddhism. And the most important thing. While most people CLAIM to be catholic, very few of them actually go to church, pray or read the bible.

So the whole "Portugal made you believe in God" is just pure nonsense.

Anyone calling himself an atheist, is so much religious that him need to create a new term to distinguish and differentiate from others, certainly him believe something and needs to get away from something ugly.
And certainly no book can hold the truth, they can approach that, and give some directions to get there, how can a book preserve the fragrancy of a miracle? How a book can states the truth that is unspeakable?
Any book that brings some love and respect for anybody is certainly a good book isn't it?

Good people... what does this game have to do with religion... this game is like the other things you do every day... don't get me wrong, I believe in religion but I don't want to take everything that is written there as an obligation... I know so many people who are dedicated and go to church every Sunday and are faithful people, but when someone close to them needs their help, they turn their backs.. what is this?!
